Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also known as sleeping berry or winter church, is mainly native to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, where it has been used for thousands of years. Also known as Indian ginseng, this plant is extremely versatile and represents a traditional medicinal plant in Ayurvedic medicine. Its special property is hidden in the name. Somnifera is Latin and means something like sleep-bringing.

Organic Ashwagandha Powder is made from the root of the plant and can be infused as a tea or milk drink, or added to smoothies and other beverages.

Recommendations for use: Stir 1 slightly heaped teaspoon (approx. 3g) into 250 ml of liquid (e.g. warm milk, warm water, fruit or vegetable juice, smoothie) 1-2 times a day and drink. We recommend adding natural sweetness as Ashwagandha has a slightly bitter taste.
