HUSTAGIL thyme cough syrup Composition:

Medicinal substance: 6 g (= 5 ml) contain as medicinal substance: 480 mg liquid thyme extract (DAB), standardized on min. 0.03% thymol.

Excipients: Sorbitol, xylitol, propylene glycol, purified water.



HUSTAGIL thyme cough syrup Way of acting:

Hustagil - thyme cough syrup is a plant product with the active substance thyme extract. This thyme extract is produced in accordance with the prescriptions of the German Pharmacopoeia (DAB).

Thyme has a bronchospasmolytic (relieves bronchial spasm), expectorant (expectorant) and antiseptic.

HUSTAGIL thyme cough syrup Indications:

Symptomatic treatment of acute inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by dry irritating cough and hoarseness of voice.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product. Sorbitol intolerance (fructose intolerance); sucrose and isomaltase deficiency; glucose / galactose malabsorption syndrome (impaired absorption of glucose and galactose in the gut); alcoholism.

Interactions with other drugs:

Not known.

Special warnings for use:

Hustagil - thyme cough syrup does not contain preservatives. Hustagil - thyme cough syrup does not contain sugar.

It does not form caries because it contains the sugar substitutes xylitol and sorbitol.

Hustagil Thyme Cough Syrup is suitable for diabetics (5 ml. = 0.25 BE).

Contains 3.5 vol. % alcohol.

This medicinal product contains 56 g of sorbitol in 100 g of solution. When taken according to the dosing recommendations, each dose of 6 g (= 5 ml) provides up to 3.36 g of sorbitol.

Unsuitable for congenital fructose intolerance. May cause stomach irritation and
diarrhea.

Hustagil Thyme Cough Syrup should not be used in children under 1 year of age.

If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Pregnancy and lactation

Based on the widespread use of thyme as a medicinal product and food component, so far there is no evidence of a risk associated with its use during pregnancy and lactation. However, given the lack of adequate experience and ethanol content in particular, Hustagil - thyme cough syrup should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines

No effects on the ability to drive and use machines were observed.

Overdose:

No symptoms of overdose were observed. No cases of intoxication have been reported.

Dosage and method of administration:

Children from 1 to 6 years every 3 hours 2.5 ml

Children of school age every 3 hours 5.0 ml

Adults 5 times a day in 10.0 ml of solution.
