In adults and adolescents, a maximum single dose of 400 mg of ibuprofen should not be exceeded. Taking more than 400 mg of ibuprofen in a single dose does not provide improved pain relief. The interval between subsequent doses should be at least 4 hours. A total dose of 1200 mg of ibuprofen should not be exceeded in 24 hours. The recommended dose is 400 mg of ibuprofen (1 tablet) up to 3 times a day, every 4-6 hours.
