Pentofuryl 200 mg hard capsules is a diarrhea medicine (intestinal antiseptic).

Pentofuryl 200 mg hard capsules are used in adults with acute diarrhea of ​​bacterial origin without signs of invasive illness (such as a change in general condition, fever or infectious-toxic symptoms, blood in the stool).

Note:
The treatment does not replace dietary measures and does not compensate for the lack of fluids.

The supply of fluids and salts (electrolytes) should be adjusted according to the intensity of the diarrhea, the age and the characteristics of the patient (e.g. accompanying illnesses).

How to take Pentofuryl 200 mg hard capsule?
Always take Pentofuryl 200mg hard capsules exactly as directed in the package leaflet.

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults take 1 hard capsule 4 times a day or 2 hard capsules 2 times a day (equivalent to 800 mg / day).

The hard capsules are swallowed with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water [200 ml]).
