  • The preparation is a herbal medicine for sedation.
  • It is used in states of restlessness.

  • The drug should always be taken exactly as directed. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
    • For children from 6 to 12 years: 2 film-coated tablets twice a day
    • For adults and children over 12 years: up to 3 times a day 2 film-coated tablets
    • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of this medicine is too strong or too weak.

 

  • duration of use
      • The duration of use of this drug is not limited in principle.

     

 

  • If you take more of the medicine than you should:
    • If twice or three times the intended dosage (equivalent to 4 - 6 film-coated tablets of this medicine) has been accidentally taken, this usually has no adverse consequences. In this case, the intake should be continued as described in the dosage instructions or as prescribed by the doctor.
    • If you have significantly overdosed this medicine, you should consult a doctor.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose:
    • Do not take a double dose, but continue to take it as directed or as directed by your doctor.

  • To take.
  • Do not take film-coated tablets lying down. Please swallow the film-coated tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).

  • Like all medicines, the preparation can have side effects.
    • The list includes all known side effects from treatment with valerian root and lemon balm leaves, including those at higher doses or long-term therapy.
    • It is not possible to provide reliable information on the frequency of side effects that have become known when taking medicines containing valerian/balm because these side effects have become known through individual reports from patients, doctors or pharmacists. Afterwards, gastrointestinal complaints (e.g. nausea, abdominal cramps) may occur when taking this medicine.
    • Discontinuing the drug is usually enough to make the side effects go away.
    • At the first sign of a hypersensitivity reaction, this medicine should not be taken again. If you notice any of the side effects mentioned above, inform your doctor so that he can decide on the degree of severity and any necessary measures.
  • If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects that are not specified.

  • Interactions with other medicines
    • Interactions with other drugs have not been investigated and are not known to date.
    • Concomitant use with synthetic tranquilizers is not recommended.
    • Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.
  • Taking the preparation with food and drink
    • Alcohol should be avoided while using this medicine.

Contraindications

  • The medicine must not be taken
    • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.

    • The widespread use of valerian root and lemon balm leaves as medicines has not yielded any indications of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but the results of experimental studies are not available. The drug should therefore not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • Special care is required when taking the drug
      • with children
        • The drug is used in children from the age of 6 years if non-drug measures are not sufficiently successful. There are no adequate studies on the use of the drug in small children. It should therefore not be used in children under 6 years of age.

     

  • Driving and using machines.
    • For up to 2 hours after taking this medicine, no motor vehicles should be driven, machines used or work carried out without a secure footing, since the ability to react can be impaired even when used as intended. This applies to a greater extent in combination with alcohol.
