Special warnings for use

1. Inject nasal spray only once a day into each nostril

2. Do not inhale / inhale while injecting

3. Do not spray on eyes

4. Read "interactions with other drugs" below

Driving or using machines

It is not recommended to drive or use machines during the first 2 hours after using Nazodren.

Interactions with other drugs

Other nasal products can be used 1.5-2 hours after administration of Nazodren. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you can use Nazodren if you are taking products that affect blood clotting (such as coumarin derivatives, acetylsalicylic acid) or anticholinergics (such as atropine).

Application method:

Nazodren is intended for adults and children over 5 years of age:

1. Turn the cap of the vial containing the powder counterclockwise and remove the stopper.

2. Open the plastic liquid bottle by breaking off the top.

3. Pour all the liquid into the powder vial.

4. Screw the spray nozzle onto the vial and shake gently until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Wait for the foam to disappear.

5. Remove the protective cap from the injection nozzle.

6. Make 2-3 test sprays in the air, avoiding eye contact

7. Keep your head upright without leaning forward or backward. Insert the tip into one nostril. Do not breathe briefly (about 3-5 seconds) and spray the solution only once. Take a deep breath through your mouth and then breathe normally.

DO NOT INHALE DURING INJECTION.

8. Repeat the procedure with the other nostril as described in item 7 above.

9. Clean the nozzle with a clean cloth. Replace the protective cap.

How and for how long should Nazodren be used?

The solution is injected into each nostril only once a day or once every 2 days, preferably at the same time, about 2 hours before bedtime. The treatment lasts between 7-10 days, but if necessary it can last up to 12-16 days. Increasing the daily dose does not increase the therapeutic effect.

In case of complications with purulent infection, concomitant antibiotic treatment is recommended. Significant improvement or general symptomatic relief is achieved after 6-8 applications. The headache that usually accompanies these conditions decreases or disappears completely after 3-5 injections of Nazodren. Even if you feel relief from symptoms, it is recommended to continue treatment for at least 7-10 days.

If you miss one injection, continue treatment the next day as recommended. If in severe or chronic cases it is necessary to repeat the treatment, this can be done only after a break of 7-10 days after the end of the previous course.

Act:

A few minutes after the injection, when the saponins in Nazodren come into physical contact with the nasal mucosa, you may feel a slight tingling, itching, burning sensation in the nose or start sneezing. The result is abundant secretion of accumulated secretions from the nose and nasal cavities as they are cleansed and drained. This abundant secretion can last up to 2 hours. As a result, the headache, which often occurs due to inflammation of the frontal sinus cavity and maxillary sinuses, quickly disappears. In otitis, the existing secretions are quickly eliminated, which leads to a reduction in ear pain and restoration of hearing loss. Nasodren does not cause significant residual irritation of the nose and nasal cavities

What to do in case of overdose with Nazodren?

Overdose with Nazodren can cause a strong burning sensation in the nasopharyngeal area, but without serious consequences. In case of accidental overdose, it is recommended to rinse the nasal cavity with warm water through the nostrils, as well as gargle with warm water.

Possible side effects

Like all products, Nazodren can cause side effects. All of them are related to the way Nazodren works and are described in the section "How does Nazodren work?" Some of these symptoms are normal. They show that the product works. In these cases, treatment should not be interrupted.

Don't worry if pink secretions come out of your nose.

Seek medical attention if:

• Nazodren eye contact, which may cause inflammation or cause symptoms similar to acute conjunctivitis;

• Tearing or salivation lasting more than 2 hours;

• Accidental use by patients allergic to cyclamen, primrose or other species of the primrose family, which may result in swelling of the nasal mucosa, eyes and / or face.
