Bioprazol. The medicinal product Bioprazol Bio Control 10mg in the form of gastro-resistant capsules contains omeprazole as the active substance. The indication for the use of the drug is a short-term treatment of symptoms associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux.

Bioprazol Bio Control Composition:
The active substance is omeprazole (Omeprazolum). One hard gastro-resistant Bioprazol capsule contains 10 mg of omeprazole. The other substances in the drug are - pellets: sucrose, grains (containing sucrose and corn starch), povidone K30, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate, hypromellose 6 cP, triethyl citrate, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer (1: 1), sodium hydroxide, titanium dioxide (E171), talc; capsule body: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (El71), quinoline yellow (E104), erythrosine (E127); capsule lid: gelatin, purified water, titanium dioxide (El71), iron oxide red (E172), erythrosine (E127); printing ink (TekPrint SB-0007P White Ink): titanium dioxide (E171), shellac, povidone, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide.

Bioprazol Bio Control Action:
Omeprazole contained in the drug Bioprazol Bio Control is an active substance belonging to medicines called "proton pump inhibitors". The mechanism of action of omeprazole consists in reducing the amount of hydrochloric acid secreted in the stomach. Bioprazol Bio Control can be used to treat the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux. These include heartburn and acid reflux.

Bioprazol Bio Control Application:
The medicinal product Bioprazol Bio Control 10mg indicated for use in the short-term treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux (including heartburn, acid reflux).

Bioprazol Bio Control Additional information:
Keep the Bioprazol out of reach of children at room temperature. Protect against moisture. The drug contains sucrose, which should be included in people with intolerance to some sugars. The doctor decides on the use of women planning pregnancy, who are pregnant and breast-feeding. The drug is not suitable for preventive use.

Contraindications:
Do not use Bioprazol in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the medicinal product. Do not use if you are allergic to medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors (eg pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, esomeprazole). Do not use in people who are taking medicines containing atazanavir or nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection). Do not use in children and adolescents.

Side effects:
You may experience side effects while taking the medicine. If you have the following symptoms: the onset of wheezing, swelling of the lips, tongue and throat or body, rash, fainting or difficulty in breathing or swallowing (severe allergic reaction); reddening of the skin with the formation of blisters or exfoliation, it is also possible large blisters and bleeding around the lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genitals (Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal epidermal necrolysis); yellowing of the skin, dark urine and fatigue, which may be symptoms of liver disorders, it is necessary to stop using the medicine and consult a physician.

Other side effects occurring: common - headache; effects on the stomach and intestines: diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, gas (bloating), nausea or vomiting, benign gastric polyps; uncommon - swelling of the feet and ankles, sleep disturbance (insomnia), dizziness, tingling and prickling, drowsiness, spinning sensation (dizziness), changes in liver function tests, general malaise and weakness; rarely - blood problems, such as a reduced number of white blood cells or platelets, this can lead to weakness, easier bruising or increased likelihood of infection, allergic reactions, sometimes very severe, including swelling of the lips, tongue and throat, fever, wheezing, low sodium in the blood, it can lead to weakness, vomiting and muscle cramps, feeling agitated, confused or depressed, change in taste sensation, vision problems such as blurred vision, sudden sensation of the wheezing or shortness of breath (bronchospasm), dry mouth, inflammation of the oral mucosa, fungal infection that may include the intestines, liver problems, including jaundice, which may cause yellowing of the skin, dark urine and tiredness, hair loss (baldness), skin rash during sun exposure, arthralgia or muscle pain (myalgia), severe kidney problems (interstitial nephritis), increased sweating; very rarely - changes in blood count including agranulocytosis, aggression, seeing, feeling or hearing non-existing things (hallucinations), severe liver disorders leading to liver failure and encephalitis, sudden onset of severe rash or blistering of the skin or exfoliation of the skin, they may be accompanied by high fever and joint pain (erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal epidermal necrolysis), muscle weakness, breast enlargement in men, hypomagnesaemia (decreased level of magnesium in blood); unknown frequency - a rash that can occur with joint pain. In very rare cases, the drug may affect the number of white blood cells in the blood, it may lead to immunodeficiency. If you have an infection with symptoms such as a fever with a serious worsening of general well-being or a fever with symptoms of a local infection such as pain in the neck, throat or mouth, or difficulty urinating, you should consult your doctor as soon as possible to rule out a possible white blood cell deficiency (agranulocytosis) based on the results of a blood test. It is important for the patient to provide the doctor with information about the medicine being taken.

Dosage:
Take as directed on the leaflet or doctor's instructions. It is customary to take the Bioprazol at a dose of 20mg, or two capsules once a day for a period of 14 days. In the event that after 14 days of using the drug did not improve or symptoms get worse, please consult your doctor. It may be required to take the capsules for the next 2-3 days to obtain the effect of improvement.

The drug used in the morning on an empty stomach. Swallow the capsules whole with half a glass of water. Do not crush the capsules or throw them away. In the case of problems with swallowing the capsule, it should be opened and its content dissolved in still water or fruit juice, drink immediately after preparation (not later than 30 minutes after mixing), then pour about 100ml of water, rinse the glass and drink this liquid. Do not use carbonated water or milk.
