HIRUDOID gel, deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins treatment

Action:
The preparation prevents the formation of superficial clots, stimulates their absorption and has a local anti-inflammatory effect, and also accelerates the absorption of hematomas and edema. Mucopolysaccharide polysulfate has an antithrombotic effect by influencing coagulation and the fibrinolytic system. In addition, it exerts an anti-inflammatory effect, inhibiting the activity of catabolic enzymes and prostaglandin synthesis, and influencing the complement system. It also causes the regeneration of connective tissue by activating the synthesis of mesenchymal cells and normalizing water binding by the intercellular substance. After topical application of the preparation, the active substances penetrate the tissues located under the surface of the skin, exerting a healing effect.

Indications:
Superficial veins diseases: superficial vein thrombosis (superficial phlebitis), inflammation of varicose veins, superficial vein thrombosis after infusion and intravenous injections, varicose veins of the lower limbs, supporting treatment after vein sclerosis and in the treatment of post-thrombotic syndrome. Hematomas, contusions, swelling. In addition, the ointment is used to accelerate the scarring process after injuries, burns, and operations. The gel can also be used for phono and iontophoresis (in iontophoresis it is placed under the cathode).

Dosage:
Apply 3-5 cm of ointment or gel to the affected areas, rubbing in lightly, once or several times a day. The ointment can also be used under a dressing. In order to soften hard scars, massage the ointment into the skin vigorously.
