- Nitrofurazone is used preventively and therapeutically in bacterial infections of the skin, secondary infections, allergic changes, wyprzeniach yeast, an adjunct in the treatment of burns and ulcers.
Composition Nitrofurazone (Nitrofurazon) ointment, secondary infections , allergy symptoms:
1 g of ointment contains 2 mg Furacilinum.

The derivative nitrofuran antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (also resistant to penicillin and sulfa) also acts on some of protozoa (such as Trypanosoma ). It is a potent bacteriostatic activity by inhibiting bacterial enzymes, such as for Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , Streptococcus pyogenes . Does not work on Pseudomonas aeruginosa . After application on the skin is absorbed slightly (about 1%) and excreted in the urine.
Indications: Preventive and curative in bacterial infections of the skin, secondary infections, allergic changes, wyprzeniach yeast, an adjunct in the treatment of burns and ulcers.
Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to derivatives of nitrofuran .
Undesirable effects: There may be local hypersensitivity reactions (itching, rash).
Dosage Nitrofurazone (Nitrofurazon) ointment, secondary infections , allergy symptoms:
2 times a day to lubricate the affected skin with a thin layer of ointment. It is recommended that you wear a sterile dressing.
