Orocal D3 x 30 chewable tablets with lemon flavor

Orocal D3 is intended for use by adults for the prevention or treatment of vitamin D and calcium deficiency as well as supportive treatment of osteoporosis. This medicine is a lemon flavored chewable tablet.

Composition of Orocal D3:

Active substances: calcium carbonate and cholecalciferol. One chewable tablet contains 1250mg calcium carbonate (equivalent to 500mg calcium), 400 IU (10mcg) cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and excipients: xylitol (E 967), povidone, isomaltose (E 953), aroma (lemon), magnesium stearate, sucralose (E 955), mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, all-rac -alpha-tocopherol, sucrose, food grade starch, medium chain length triglycerides, sodium ascorbate, colloidal anhydrous silica.

Orocal D3 operation:

The drug is in the form of chewable tablets with a lemon flavor. Orocal D3 Lemon contains cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and calcium as calcium carbonate. Both of these ingredients support the bone formation process and help to keep them healthy. The indication for the use of the drug is the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiencies, as well as support for specific treatment of osteoporosis.

Application:
Orocal D3 is indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiencies in adults who are known to be at risk for these deficiencies. In addition, it can be used adjunctively in the specific treatment of osteoporosis.

Additional information:
The product should be stored out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. The drug contains less than 23mg of sodium in one tablet, it can be considered free of sodium. The drug contains sucrose (0.8mg in one tablet) - it can be harmful to the teeth, the drug contains isomaltose (E953; 20.5mg in one tablet) - people with known intolerance to some sugars should discuss with the doctor the possibility of using the drug. The possibility of using the drug in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be discussed with the doctor, while pregnant should not use more than 2500mg of calcium and 4000j.m. Vitamin D daily, it should also be remembered that these substances pass into breast milk. Caution should be exercised in people who have osteoporosis and are immobilized, and in people who use other preparations with vitamin D.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in cases of severe renal impairment. Do not use if the level of calcium in your blood or urine is too high, do not use if you have kidney stones. Do not use in the case of excess vitamin D in the blood. Do not use on children.

Side effects:
It may cause side effects, but not everybody gets them. Not known: hypersensitivity reactions. If you experience the following side effects, contact your doctor: swelling of the face, tongue, lips (angioedema) or throat swelling (laryngeal edema). Uncommon: high levels of calcium in the blood (hypercalcaemia) and urine (hypercalciuria) - mainly at high doses. Rare: constipation, indigestion, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea. Very rare: pruritus, rash and urticaria; Milky-alkaline syndrome (Burnett's syndrome - mainly when large amounts of calcium are consumed), symptoms - frequent urge to urinate, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, and increased amounts of calcium in the blood serum and kidney failure.

Dosage of Orocal D3 lemon flavored chewable tablets:

Use as directed by your doctor or as directed on the leaflet. Recommended dose: use one tablet twice a day. Chew or suck the tablet. Can be used with food and drink.
