  1. WHAT Telmisartan RATIOPHARM IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Telmisartan ratiopharm of medicines called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Angiotensin II is a substance produced in the body, which constricts blood vessels and thus increases blood pressure.Telmisartan ratiopharm that blocks the effect of angiotensin II, so the blood vessels relax, blood pressure decreases.

  1. BEFORE YOU TAKE Telmisartan RATIOPHARM

  • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to telmisartan or any other ingredients of Telmisartan ratiopharm tablets (for a list of excipients see. Section "Other information");

Take special care with

Tell your doctor if you have or ever had any of the following conditions or illnesses:

  • Kidney disease or kidney transplant;
  • Renal artery stenosis (one or both renal vasoconstriction);
  • liver disease;
  • heart problems;
  • Raised aldosterone levels (water and salt retention in the body along with various mineral imbalance in the blood);

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

  1. HOW TO TAKE Telmisartan RATIOPHARM

Telmisartan ratiopharm always exactly as directed by your doctor. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The usual dose of Telmisartan ratiopharm is one tablet per day. Try every day to take a tablet at the same time.

Telmisartan ratiopharm can be taken with or without food. The tablets should be swallowed with water or other non-alcoholic drink. - Very common (affects more than 1 user in 10);

- Uncommon (affects 1 - 10 of 1 000 users);

- Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10 000 users);

Common side effects may include:

Low blood pressure (hypotension) in patients who are taking medicine for cardiovascular events reduction.

Uncommon side effects may include:

Upper respiratory tract infection (eg., Sore throat, sinuses, colds (upper respiratory catarrh)), urinary tract infection, red blood cell deficiency (anemia), high potassium levels in the blood, sad mood (depression), fainting ( syncope), difficulty falling asleep, feeling of spinning (vertigo), slow heart rate (bradycardia), low blood pressure (hypotension) in patients who are being treated for high blood pressure, dizziness on standing up (orthostatic hypotension), shortness of breath, abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort , bloating, vomiting, increased sweating, itching, drug rash, muscle pain (myalgia), back pain, muscle cramps, kidney impairment including acute renal failure, chest pain, weakness, and increased levels of creatinine.

Rare side effects may include:

low blood platelet count (thrombocytopenia), allergic reaction (eg., rash, itching, difficulty breathing, wheezing, swelling of the face or low blood pressure), anxiety, impaired vision, fast heart beat (tachycardia), upset stomach, dry mouth, abnormal liver activity, severe drug rash, redness of skin, rapid skin and mucosa (angioedema), eczema (a skin disorder), joint pain (arthralgia), pain in extremity, flu-like illness, uric acid, liver enzymes or creatine phosphokinase in the blood, hemoglobin (a blood protein) levels in the blood.

Side effects of unknown frequency may include:

The carton contains 7, 10, 14, 20, 28, 30, 50, 56, 60, 84, 90, 98 or 100 tablets in blisters.
