The test for the detection of borreliosis bacteria in a tick allows you to check whether a tick that has been taken out of the body is a carrier of the bacteria B..garinii, B.afzelii, B. burgdorferi sensu stricto and B. spielmanii. Self-test at home.

The set includes a test for the detection of borreliosis bacteria in a tick:

Foil package with plate test - 1 pc., Foil packet with pipette - 1 pc., Bottle with reagent - 1 pc., Wooden stick - 1 pc., Test tube - 1 pc.; instructions for use.

Operation Test for the detection of Lyme bacteria in a tick:

The test for the detection of borreliosis bacteria in the tick allows the detection of the presence of Borellia spirochetes in the tested individual. A positive test result means that the tick is a carrier of one of the four genotypes of Lyme bacteria (B. garinii, B.afzelii, B. burgdorferi sensu stricto and B. spielmanii). The principle of the test is based on the Comarison system - polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The test efficiency is high: sensitivity - 92.86%; specificity - 95.83%, PPV / NPV - 86.67% / 97.87%; Ttp - 95.16%. Self-testing allows you to find out if further steps are needed to diagnose Lyme disease and introduce specialist treatment.

Application:
A test for the detection of Lyme disease in a tick intended for a quick test for the presence of Lyme disease spirochetes directly in the tick.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture, light and direct sunlight. Do not freeze. The product is intended exclusively for testing the tick. Single use product. The product should not be used if the foil package with the platelet test is damaged.

How to use the test to detect Lyme bacteria in a tick:

Use only as recommended by the manufacturer. Read the instructions before use.
Once opened, use the test within 60 minutes. Remove all components from the packaging. Have a stopwatch or watch ready. Place the removed tick in a test tube. If the tick is smaller than 8mm, the small to medium tick procedure should be followed. Add 3 drops of the reagent to the test tube with the tick, crush the tick with the sharp side of a wooden stick until the liquid becomes discolored. Using the pipette, collect the liquid from the test tube (only the liquid without any tick particles). Put 3 drops of the withdrawn liquid into the well into the test cassette. You can read the result after 10 minutes. If the tick is large (greater than 8mm), the large tick procedure should be followed. Put the tick into a test tube, crush it with the sharp side of a wooden stick. Then, use a pipette to remove the resulting liquid (without any parts of the tick). Apply a drop of liquid to the test well, leave for a few seconds, then add two drops of reagent directly to the well. You can read the result after 10 minutes. Interpretation of the result: positive result - two red lines: in the T test area (the color intensity in the T area depends on the amount of Borellia antigens in the sample) and in the control area C. A positive result is a signal that you should contact your doctor as soon as possible; negative - the line shows only in the control area C; invalid - no line appears. that you should contact your doctor as soon as possible; negative - the line shows only in the control area C; invalid - no line appears. that you should contact your doctor as soon as possible; negative - the line shows only in the control area C; invalid - no line appears.
