EFALEX liquid, Adhd medication
Pack size:150mlDosage form:liquid
For the dietary treatment of attention deficit disorder (ADHD) and the associated lack of concentration and learning disorders
Efalex contains a balanced, special combination of fish and evening primrose oil, which are rich in long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids).
There is evidence that patients with ADHD and the associated learning and concentration disorders may have a deficiency in polyunsaturated fatty acids. This deficiency can arise from a reduced activity of the enzyme that is needed to convert dietary fatty acids into the specific long-chain fatty acids. In addition, our diet, even by consuming a sufficient amount of fatty sea fish and vegetable oils, does not contain enough omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to compensate for this deficiency.
Efalex provides:
Specific long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are important building blocks of nerve cell membranes, and fatty acids that influence the transmission of information between nerve cells.
The evening primrose oil in Efalex is extracted from special evening primrose seeds which, thanks to years of careful selection and cultivation, have a naturally increased gamma-linolenic acid content (33% more than conventional evening primrose oil). This precious oil is extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose using a particularly gentle process so that the long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids are preserved in their natural form. The fish oil contained in Efalex is carefully selected for its docosahexaenoic acid content. It comes from natural fish stocks and, due to its origin and gentle processing, guarantees the highest quality and purity.
Recommended consumption:
Children aged 2-5: 2 teaspoons (10ml) daily
Adults and children aged 5 and over: 4 teaspoons (20ml) daily
Depending on the intensity of the symptoms, this dosage can be maintained or reduced by half after 3 months. Efalex liquid is taken with a meal and can be consumed half in the morning and half in the evening.
