Composition:
1 tablet. powl. contains 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, crospovidone, talc, lactitol monohydrate, macrogol 3350, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171).
Action: antihistamine, potent and selective histamine receptor antagonist peripheral H 1 .Inhibits histamine-dependent early phase of an allergic reaction.Cetirizine is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract; It extends the absorption of food, but not affect the bioavailability of the drug. It binds approximately 93% to plasma proteins. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine of 70% (including 50% unchanged) and 10% in the faeces. T 0.5 in the blood is 8.3 h.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or any of the excipients. pregnancy and breast-feeding may be used in pregnancy only if clearly needed. Do not use during lactation.
Dosage: Oral. Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily. Patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency given half the dose. Children 4-6 years (with a body weight. <30 kg): 5 mg once daily; 6-12 years (about mc.> 30 kg): 10 mg once daily, or 5 mg 2 times a day.
Notes: The drug should be discontinued for a few days before skin tests. During treatment, avoid drinking alcohol and taking drugs that inhibit the activity of the CNS
