The unique medicinal product Alka-Seltzer fights pain, fever and inflammation thanks to the high content of acetylsalicylic acid. The preparation in the form of convenient effervescent tablets will also help relieve the tiring symptoms of infection.
ALKA-SELTZER Composition:
1 tablet contains the active substance 324 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and excipients: anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, povidone 25, a mixture of dimethicone and calcium silicate (70%: 30%), a mixture of docusate sodium and sodium benzoate (85%: 15%), sodium saccharin, lime flavor, lemon flavor.
ALKA-SELTZER Action:
The active substance in Alka-Seltzer is acetylsalicylic acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Its analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory action is based on blocking the activity of cyclooxygenase and thus inhibiting the synthesis of inflammatory mediators - prostaglandins, and reducing the synthesis of prostacyclins. The product is effective in relieving pain of mild and moderate intensity and in fighting fever accompanying a cold. The addition of sodium citrate alkalizes the excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach, thanks to which it has a protective effect.
ALKA-SELTZER Application:
Alka-Seltzer is recommended for relieving mild and moderate pains of various etiologies and as an adjunct in the treatment of symptoms of colds and flu.
