trace element preparation

Active ingredient:
sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium hydrogen carbonate, sodium citrate x 2 H2O

Composition:
150 g powder for the preparation of a solution contain: 133.93 g sodium hydrogen
carbonate, 13.40 g potassium hydrogen carbonate, 2.67 g sodium citrate x 2 H2O.

Indication:
Traditionally used as a mild drug for heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints.

Properties:
Alkala® ”N” is a base mixture that is suitable for restoring the acid-base balance in the organism. Ideally, this relationship is balanced in humans. Shifts in the acid-base balance into the acidic range are to be found more and more frequently today due to our living and environmental conditions. The first typical signs of overacidification are heartburn, acid regurgitation, flatulence, etc. As a result, overacidification is a typical side effect of the chronic metabolic disorder.

Use:
1 level measuring spoon (3g) Alkala® ”N” powder is dissolved in 1/2 glass of hot water and taken in sips throughout the day. Basically, there should be an interval of one to two hours between taking
Alkala® ”N” and taking other drugs.

Side ALKALA N, Sodium bicarbonate, Sodium citrate powder effects: A
feeling of fullness and belching have often occurred after taking Alkala® ”N”. Long-term use can promote the formation of calcium and magnesium phosphate stones in the kidney.

Contraindications:
If there is a lack of gastric acid, disorders in the acid-base balance (alkalosis), a lack of potassium or if you are on a low-sodium diet, Alkala® ”N” must not be taken. In the case of acid burns to the stomach, Alkala® ”N” must not be used.

Interactions:
Sodium hydrogen carbonate is incompatible with most drugs. The absorption and excretion of weak acids and bases can be influenced by increasing the pH value in the stomach and urine. Functional
interactions are possible with gluco- and mineralocorticoids, androgens and diuretics, which increase the excretion of potassium.

Precautions:
As insufficient studies are available, Alkala® ”N” should not be used in pregnant women, while breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age. Because of the risk of gastric rupture, Alkala® ”N” must not be used if the stomach is acidic.
