  • 4 mg carmellose sodium

Indication :
  • This medicine is a tear substitute and contains the film former carmellose sodium. It is used to treat the symptoms of dry eye (such as pain, burning, irritation, or dryness). If you don't feel better or even feel worse, contact your doctor.

 

Dosage Allergan eye drops uk, CELLUVISC 1% eye drops, Carmellose sodium :

 

  • Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
  • The usual dose if necessary is 1-2 drops into the affected eyes.
  • If irritation, pain, redness or changes in vision occur, or if you think your condition is getting worse, stop using this medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

 

  • If you have used more than you should
    • If you use more of this medicine than you should, there is no danger. If you are worried, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

 

  • If you forget to use it
    • Take the next dose when needed or at the regular time recommended by your doctor or pharmacist.
    • Do not use a double dose if you forget the previous single dose.

 

  • If you have any further questions about using the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Way CELLUVISC 1% eye drops, Carmellose sodium, Allergan eye drops uk:

 

  • The medicine is used on the eyes.
  • Make sure the single-dose container is intact before use. After opening, the solution should be used immediately. To avoid contamination or injury to the eye, do not bring the open end of the single-dose container into contact with your eye or anything else. Wash your hands before use.
  • Separate a single-dose container from the strip.
  • Hold the single-dose container vertically (with the cap facing up) and twist off the cap.
  • Gently pull the lower eyelid down until a pocket forms. Hold the single-dose container with the opening facing down and squeeze the container until a drop falls into each eye. Open and close your eyes a few times.
  • Do not reuse the single-dose container even if there is some solution left. It is very important that you throw away the single-dose container and do not keep it.
Side effects :
  • Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
  • The following adverse reactions or medically relevant events have been reported during clinical trials:
  • Common side effects (affects between 1 and 10 patients in 100) are:
    • Eye irritation (including burning and discomfort), eye pain, itchy eyes, visual disturbances.
  • After marketing
    • The following adverse reactions or medically relevant events have been reported post-marketing:
      • Uncommon side effects (affects between 1 and 10 patients in 1,000) include:
        • Allergic reactions (including swollen eye or eyelid), blurred vision, increased tearing (tearing), sticky eyes, crusting of the edge of the eyelid and/or residue of the medicine, a feeling of a foreign body in your eyes, redness of the eye/eyelid, worsening of visual acuity, superficial injury of the eye due to touching the eye with the dropper tip during use.
  • Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if any of the side effects listed seriously affects you or if you notice side effects that are not listed.
  • If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects that are not specified.
Interactions :
  • Use together with other medicines
    • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, even if they are taken without a prescription.
    • If you use other eye drops, they should be used at least 15 minutes before instilling this medicine.
Contraindications :
  • The medicine must not be used:
    • If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to carmellose sodium or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding :
  • The medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Patient information :
  • Warnings and Precautions
    • If you wear contact lenses. These should be taken out before using this medicine. The lenses can be reinserted 15 minutes after using the drops.

 

  • Ability to drive and use machines
    • This preparation may cause short-term blurred vision, typically lasting 1-15 minutes.
    • If you experience temporary blurred vision, do not drive or operate machinery until your vision clears.
