Indications:
For the treatment and prevention of symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis (conjunctivitis, hay fever) in adults and children from 4 years of age and for the treatment of symptoms of perennial allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children from 12 years of age.

Indication/ allergic conjunctivitis Application
- The medicine contains the active ingredient azelastine. This belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines prevent the effects of substances (such as histamines) produced by the body in connection with an allergic reaction. Azelastine has been shown to reduce inflammation in the eye.
- The medicine can be used for the treatment and prevention of eye problems caused by hay fever (seasonal allergic conjunctivitis) in adults and children from 4 years of age.
- The medicine can be used to treat eye problems (non-seasonal (perennial) allergic conjunctivitis) caused by allergies to substances such as dust mites and animal dander in adults and children aged 12 and over.
- The medicine is not suitable for treating infections of the eye.

Eye problems caused by hay fever (seasonal allergic conjunctivitis)

Use in adults and children over 4 years:
- The usual dose is one drop in each eye, morning and evening.

- If you anticipate exposure to bee pollen, you can use the usual preventative dose before leaving home.

Use in adults and children over 12 years:
- The usual dose is one drop in each eye, morning and evening.

Use in adults and children over 12 years:
- If you have severe symptoms, your doctor may also increase the dose to one drop in each eye up to four times a day.
- If possible, you should use the eye drops regularly until your symptoms have disappeared.
- If you stop using it, your symptoms may come back.

Please remember:
- Do not use the eye drops for more than 6 weeks.
- The medicine should only be dropped into the eyes.

If you use more eye drops than you should
- Putting too many eye drops in the eye is unlikely to cause any problems. If you are concerned about this, contact your doctor.
- If you accidentally swallow the eye drops, contact your doctor or nearest hospital emergency department as soon as possible.

If you forget to use the medicine
- Take your eye drops as soon as you remember, then go to the next application at the usual time. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten application.

How do you instill the eye drops?

In order to be able to instill the eye drops correctly, you should sit in front of a mirror the first few times so that you can see what you are doing better.
- Wash your hands.
- Wipe eyes lightly with a cloth to remove moisture
- Unscrew the bottle and check that the dropper is clean.
- Gently pull the lower eyelid down.
- Apply the drop carefully to the center of the lower eyelid. Be careful not to let the dropper touch your eye.
- Let go of your lower eyelid and gently press your nose from the inner corner of your eye. Keep pressing your finger against your nose while blinking slowly several times to spread the drop over your eyeball.
- Then wipe off excess eye drops with a tissue.
- Repeat the process for the other eye.
