Alugastrin Max Protect is a medical device whose ingredients: sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate, have a mechanical effect. The product has three synergistic effects: blocking acid reflux, reducing heartburn and protecting the esophageal mucosa. It is indicated in the treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, such as: heartburn, heartburn during pregnancy, reflux esophagitis, regurgitation of gastric contents into the esophagus, indigestion, nocturnal reflux symptoms, cough, laryngitis and pharyngitis.
Action
Alugastrin Max Protect contains sodium alginate and sodium carbonates, which have a physical mechanism of action. Upon contact with the acidic pH of the stomach, sodium alginate (a natural polymer extracted from brown seaweed) gels, and the carbonates release carbon dioxide, which transports gel particles to the surface of the stomach contents, thus creating a "raft". This mechanically blocks the passage of gastric contents into the esophagus. In addition, the presence of bicarbonate reduces acidity in the stomach. Thanks to the above properties and the mechanical barrier effect, the product protects the esophageal mucosa against the aggressive effects of acids. As a result, this promotes regeneration and helps prevent recurrence of reflux esophagitis. A properly selected formula of sodium alginate and carbonates ensures quick action.

Directions for use
