Amil ovulation test is a self-made test in the comfort of your home without having to visit your doctor or laboratory. The test indicates days when you are most likely to become pregnant and detects an increase in luteinizing hormone (LH) levels in the urine.
Usage:
The length of the menstrual cycle (length from the first day of bleeding to the day preceding the next bleeding) should be determined before the test begins. To determine the date on which the test should be run, refer to the table in the leaflet. If you find it difficult to determine the cycle length, you can start testing 11 days after menstruation. Tests should be performed for 5 consecutive days or until LH is detected. Collection and storage of the sample:
The urine sample should be collected in a clean, dry container. If you need to do the test later in the day, you can download and store the sample. Do not freeze the sample. Do not shake the container. If there is a precipitate let it fall. Use only urine from the top of the container to perform the test.
Test:
Immediately before the test, open the foil package and remove the test
plate. Place the test plate on a clean, horizontal surface. With the pipette attached, apply 4 drops of urine to the sample window on the plate and start timing.
Read the result after 5 minutes and discard the test plate. Do not read the result after more than 30 minutes.
