How long can you use Bromuc ®acutely taking cough reliever?
Bromuc ® acute is intended for short-term use. If the symptoms do not improve within four to five days or even worsen, please consult a doctor.

Which components does Bromuc ® contain?
Bromuc ® acute contains acetylcysteine ​​(NAC) as an active ingredient. The other ingredients are sucrose, colloidal silica, tartaric acid (Ph. Eur.), sodium chloride and orange flavor.

How is Bromuc ® dosed correctly?
Depending on the age and the strength of the cough, Bromuc ® acute is available in three strengths: Bromuc ® acute 600 mg, Bromuc ®acute 200 mg and Bromuc ® acute Junior 100 mg. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the following dose is recommended:

• Bromuc ® acute 600 mg: 1 application per day for adults and adolescents aged 14 and over;
• Bromuc ® acute 200 mg: 1 application 2 to 3 times a day for adults and adolescents aged 14 and over or 1 application twice a day for children between 6 and 14 years;
• Bromuc ® acute Junior 100 mg: 1 application 3 to 4 times a day for children and adolescents from 6 to 14 years or 1 application 2 to 3 times a day for children from 2 to 5 years.
• Bromuc®acute is to be taken after meals. The content of one sachet corresponds to 1 application. Dissolve granules in 1 glass of water or liquid of your choice and drink the contents of the glass completely.

When do I need to see a doctor if I have a cough?
Although coughing is harmless in many cases, it can also have serious causes or pose health risks. It is therefore essential to see a doctor if the cough does not improve within four to five days or even gets worse despite treatment, if it is accompanied by a high fever (over 39 °C) and/or a strong feeling of illness or chest pain, Shortness of breath and rales causing coughing up yellowish-greenish sputum in coughing infants and young children under the age of two.

Can I bromuc® acute cough solvent together with other medicines?
A combined use of Bromuc ® acute with a cough suppressant is not recommended. The restricted cough reflex can result in a build-up of secretions. Antibiotics can also be weakened in their effectiveness by taking acetylcysteine. Antibiotics should therefore be taken separately and at least two hours later.
