Indication / application
- The drug is a skin protective agent.
- Zinc oxide has a covering, protective and secretion-binding effect in acute and subacute dermatoses.

- Always use the medicine exactly as directed here. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The drug is applied to the affected skin areas once or several times a day and, if necessary, covered with gauze.

- The duration of the treatment is unlimited and depends on the healing process.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this can have side effects, but not every person treated will experience them.

When evaluating side effects, the following frequencies are used as a basis:
- Very common: more than 1 in 10 people
- Common: less than 1 in 10 but more than 1 in 100 patients
- Uncommon: less than 1 in 100 but more than 1 in 1000 patients
- Rare: less than 1 in 1000 but more than 1 in 10,000 patients
- Very rare: less than 1 in 10,000 patients, or unknown
- After applying it to severely inflamed areas of the skin, a slight burning sensation may occur.
- Occasionally, reddening of the skin, symptoms of dehydration, rough skin and acanthotic skin changes can occur, which lead to discontinuation of therapy.

When using the drug with other drugs
- The medicinal product must not be used on the same skin area at the same time as other locally applied products or must be completely removed before use, as other medicinal products can form ineffective compounds with zinc oxide.
- Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using or have recently taken / used any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

- No known interactions.
Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you
- are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.
- When used on large areas of the skin, no more than 20% of the body surface should be treated.

Use of condoms
- When using the drug in the genital and anal area, the use of petroleum jelly and paraffin at the same time can lead to a reduction in the tensile strength and thus to an impairment of the safety of condoms.
