zinc deficiency safely & effectively
Zinc is essential for many vital functions in the body. If the valuable trace element is missing, the immune system and thus our defense against pathogens is weakened. In addition, a zinc deficiency can lead to skin problems and impair numerous processes such as sugar metabolism, hormone production or hair growth. A zinc deficiency should therefore be prevented or, if there is a deficiency, you should take action at an early stage. If it is not possible to cover the zinc requirement through diet alone, a drug can support the adequate supply of the important trace element. Zinc Orotate-POS ®can be individually dosed and thus precisely tailored to personal zinc requirements. Thanks to the special protective film, the tablets can pass through the stomach undamaged, and the sensitive gastric mucosa remains protected. The zinc is only released in the small intestine and can be optimally absorbed and utilized by the body there. Zinc orotate-POS ® is well tolerated. The drug is also suitable for the treatment of zinc deficiency during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as for children from the age of four.
Organic zinc compound for good bioavailability
There are many different zinc preparations. But not all of them can be absorbed and used equally well by the body. With zinc orotate POS ®an organic compound was deliberately created. The zinc is bound to natural orotic acid, which also occurs in the body. The bioavailability is therefore particularly good. Thanks to the substance-typical "delay effect" of zinc orotate, the zinc is released slowly and evenly. In this way, the cells are continuously and continuously supplied with the important trace element. This positive effect is additionally supported by several smaller doses of zinc distributed throughout the day - instead of a single high dose. The amount of zinc required can vary greatly. Depending on age, gender, diet and many other factors, an individual dosage of zinc makes sense. Zincorotat-POS ® covers this need because it can be dosed individually.
RECOMMENDATIONS Zinc Orotate POS, zinc deficiency treatment FOR USE:
Take the zincorotat-POS ® tablets whole with sufficient liquid - preferably water - at least half an hour before meals. The temporal separation can significantly improve zinc absorption.
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and adolescents from the age of 12 take 1 tablet of Zinkorotat-POS ® 3 times a day , or 2 to 3 tablets a day for long-term use. Children between 4 and 11 years old take 1 tablet twice a day.
COLDS & FLU INFECTIONS
In autumn and winter, our immune system is particularly challenged to fight off cold viruses. Especially now it is important to efficiently prevent a zinc deficiency.
If you do catch an infection, studies have shown that zinc can reduce the duration and severity of the cold if it is taken within the first 24 hours after the first symptoms appear Zinc storage should
be charged in time.
SKIN & HAIR PROBLEMS
Zinc is present in high concentrations in skin and hair. A zinc deficiency can manifest itself in various symptoms: greasy and impure skin with increased pimple formation, increasing dryness and itching, or the skin reacts with hypersensitivity and allergies. In the case of skin problems, zinc can, for example, reduce excessive sebum production and promote wound healing and healthy skin renewal.
PREGNANCY & LACTATION
The zinc requirement during pregnancy is 50% higher than in non-pregnant women and there is also a higher requirement during breastfeeding in order to provide the infant with sufficient zinc through breast milk. An additional supply of the trace element promotes the healthy development of the child, can prevent the consequences of a zinc deficiency in the mother and support the formation of keratin and collagen for healthy hair growth.
DIABETES MELLITUS
Diabetics have an increased risk of zinc deficiency. Due to the disturbed metabolism, zinc is poorly absorbed in diabetes and is also excreted in large quantities through the kidneys with the urine. A zinc deficiency can have serious consequences: the blood sugar level is more difficult to lower, typical consequential damage of the disease progresses faster and the immune system is additionally weakened.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
How does a zinc deficiency become noticeable?
A zinc deficiency can often go undetected for months, as the body first tries to compensate for the lack of supply. However, the consequences of a longer-lasting deficiency can be all the more severe. It is therefore essential to pay attention to the first warning signs such as:
• Tiredness, listlessness and concentration
problems • Frequent colds and infections such as. B. herpes, fungal diseases or bronchitis
• dry, scaly skin or injuries that heal poorly
• brittle, limp hair or increased hair loss.
You should react to signs of a zinc deficiency in good time and include foods rich in zinc in your diet. If that alone is not enough, Zinkorotat-POS ® can be a good support to replenish the zinc stores.
Which foods contain a lot of zinc?
The German Society for Nutrition (DGE) recommends a wholesome mixed diet for a healthy supply of the body with all important nutrients and vital substances. If you follow these recommendations, you will also be adequately supplied with zinc if you have a normal requirement. Good sources of zinc are above all meat, fish and dairy products as well as whole grain cereals, legumes and nuts. However, our bodies can more easily absorb zinc from animal foods than from plant sources. People who prefer a vegetarian or vegan diet should therefore be particularly careful when choosing food. Some plant-based foods like whole grains, vegetables, and cereals contain phytates that inhibit zinc absorption. Zinc-rich whole grain products and legumes should therefore be soaked before consumption,
a The absorption of zinc in adults is influenced by the phytate content of the food. Therefore, the recommended intake for zinc is given depending on the phytate intake.
b corresponds to a phytate intake of 330 mg/day (0.5 mmol/day); low phytate intake and thus high zinc absorption is present in diets in which the consumption of whole grain products and legumes is low and the protein sources are primarily of animal origin
ccorresponds to a phytate intake of 660 mg/day (1.0 mmol/day); moderate phytate intake, and therefore moderate zinc absorption, is present in diets that include protein sources of animal origin, including meat or fish, as well as whole grains and legumes (consistent with a whole-food diet), or in a vegetarian or vegan diet with a preponderance of highly ground, sprouted or fermented grain products
dcorresponds to a phytate intake of 990 mg/day (1.5 mmol/day); diets high in whole grains (especially non-sprouted or unfermented) and legumes, and in which protein sources are primarily or exclusively plant-based (e.g., soy) are associated with high phytate intake, and therefore reduced
zinc absorption This is an estimate
