- This medicine is used to prevent asthma symptoms in mild persistent (persistent) allergic and nonallergic asthma (stage 2 of the asthma staging scheme).

- Always use the inhalation solution exactly as instructed. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, is the usual dose
- In the beginning, it makes sense to use it 4 times a day.
- The indicated daily doses can be doubled, the frequency of application increased to 6 times a day.
- After the therapeutic effect has been reached, the dosing intervals can be gradually increased to the extent necessary to maintain freedom from symptoms.
- In asthma therapy, sodium cromoglicate is only suitable for preventing asthmatic symptoms, but not for treating acute asthma attacks. A trial dose should be given for at least 4 weeks. The full effect generally sets in after 2 - 4 weeks. A gradual dose reduction over 1 week is recommended.
- Adults and children 1 ampoule each 4 times a day (2 ml solution contain 20 mg active substance). Can be used from the age of 2.

How long should you use Pädiacrom inhalation solution?
- Sodium cromoglicate is used to prevent asthmatic symptoms as long-term therapy. The inhalation solution can only work properly if it is used regularly according to the doctor's instructions.
- The duration of the usage will be decided by the medicating doctor.
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you use more than you should:
- Symptoms of poisoning are not yet known for sodium cromoglicate. Treatment is not necessary.

If you forgot the application:
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Please keep in mind that only regular use leads to the desired effect.

- If you stop treatment, your symptoms may get worse or come back.

Children:
- In children, regular monitoring of the course of the disease is particularly important to ensure that the medicine is sufficiently effective.
- Otherwise, therapy with glucocorticoids should be switched to.

Other notes:
- Asthma therapy should be carried out in stages according to the degree of severity. The success of the treatment should be checked by regular medical examinations and by daily self-monitoring (e.g. by recording the breath measured with the peak flow meter).
- In the acute asthma attack, a short-acting inhaled beta-mimetic should be used.
- Suddenly stopping the inhalation solution can worsen the underlying condition. Gradual withdrawal is recommended.
