Effectively relieves hay fever symptoms within a few minutes
A pollen allergy manifests itself primarily in the area of the Nose with annoying symptoms that can significantly affect the quality of life in spring and summer. If you have to sneeze often, your nose itches and runs, or if your nose is even blocked, you should get help quickly. For acute therapy in seasonal allergic rhinitis, the Pollival ®Proven nasal spray. The active ingredient azelastine effectively intervenes in the allergy reaction mediated by the messenger substance histamine and alleviates the annoying symptoms in the nasal mucosa within a few minutes. Important for pollen allergy sufferers: the nasal spray does not contain any preservatives and is therefore particularly well tolerated. Thanks to the special valve technology, the liquid remains sterile and can be kept for 6 months after opening.

Has an antiallergic and anti-inflammatory
effect The active ingredient azelastine in Pollival ®Nasal spray is a 2nd generation antihistamine. It is characterized by a combined effect: on the one hand, it stabilizes the histamine-releasing mast cells and thus weakens the allergic reaction on contact with allergenic substances. On the other hand, it blocks the docking of the messenger substance histamine to specific receptors, in that azelastine itself occupies the binding sites of the H-receptors. Allergic and inflammatory reactions such as constant urge to sneeze, swelling of the nasal mucous membranes and an increased flow of secretions can be prevented or significantly reduced within a few minutes with only twice daily use.

Allergen control only makes sense without preservatives
Especially when fighting allergies, it is important to use products without preservatives. Because preservatives such as benzalkonium chloride are themselves considered allergy triggers. Nevertheless, many allergy products for the eyes and nose still contain preservatives Pollival ® nasal spray and the other products in URSAPHARM's Polli concept are all preservative-free.

HAY FEVER
Pollen allergy is one of the most common allergic diseases in Germany. Depending on which tree, herb or grass pollen you are allergic to, affected adults and children suffer for several weeks or even months from annoying symptoms in the area of the nose in spring or summer. These complaints can be treated well. Symptoms should also be treated to prevent allergic asthma. In some cases, a so-called floor change can occur. The pollen allergy then spreads from the upper to the lower respiratory tract. If the bronchi are affected, shortness of breath and asthma attacks can occur.

AMBROSIA
Pollen allergy sufferers have been struggling not only with native plants for a number of years. Ragweed, a weed imported from the USA, is spreading rapidly in Germany and Europe due to the rise in temperature as a result of climate change. It is highly allergenic even at low levels in the air and sometimes causes violent reactions. Pollen is one of the strongest allergy triggers and can lead directly to allergic asthma. The fast-growing plant is mainly found on green strips along roads and paths. They bloom from July to October, sometimes even until the first frost.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

How often should I use Pollival ® Nasal Spray ?
Pollival ®Azelastine nasal spray 1 mg/ml is suitable for treating the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever). Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and children from the age of 6 years put 1 spray in each nostril in the morning and evening. Regular use is recommended until the symptoms in the nasal mucosa have completely subsided. Pollival ® Nasal Spray should be used continuously but not longer than 6 months. Please note that with a bottle of Pollival ® nasal spray - as with other nasal sprays - only the same person may be treated in order to avoid the transmission of germs and pathogens.

Can there be a bitter taste in the mouth when using the nasal spray?
A bitter taste in the mouth and throat can occur when using nasal sprays if the head is leaned back while spraying. Therefore, please always use Pollival ® nasal spray according to the package insert in an upright sitting position or with your head tilted slightly forward.

What does 2nd generation antihistamine mean?
The first antihistamines were discovered at the Pasteur Institute in the 1930s. When the substances are distributed in the organism, the brain is also reached, which is why fatigue is a frequent side effect. With the newer antihistamines of the 2nd generation, which include the one in Pollival ®If the active substance contained in the nasal spray and eye drops is azelastine, this side effect occurs to a much lesser extent and is only rarely observed with medicinal products for topical application.

Why should I use a preservative-free nasal spray for hay fever?
Numerous medicines used to treat allergic symptoms contain pharmaceutical preservatives so that the preparations remain stable after opening and remain free of pathogenic germs. Usually benzalkonium chloride is used. However, the preservative itself can trigger allergies and, in the worst case, cause irreparable damage to the nasal mucosa and cornea, especially after prolonged use. For this reason, all products in the polli allergy concept deliberately avoid the use of preservatives. The use of special containers for the nasal sprays and eye drops prevents the penetration of germs, the liquid remains sterile and has a long shelf life even after the bottles have been opened.

Helps the Pollival ®Nasal spray also for symptoms caused by ragweed pollen?
The ragweed plant triggers severe allergic reactions even in people who are not allergic to pollen. Pollival ® nasal spray and eye drops can alleviate discomfort in the nose and eyes and help make the ragweed pollen season more bearable. However, if the symptoms are very severe or if you experience shortness of breath or allergic asthma, you should consult a doctor immediately.
