LIVER OINTMENT vet.

Supports the organ function of the skin in poorly healing wounds

active ingredients

  • 250 mg zinc oxide
  • 200 mg cod liver oil

What problems is cod liver oil zinc ointment used for?
The main purpose of using cod liver oil ointments is to support the skin's organ function in the case of poorly healing wounds. The combination of cod liver oil and zinc oxide has proven particularly effective in treating weeping eczema and burns.

There has also been very good experience with the use of cod liver oil zinc ointment on sore areas on the skin. This applies, for example, to strained udder skin and teats caused by calves suckling, but also to sore and hairless areas caused by diarrhea or constant nasal discharge.

How is cod liver oil zinc ointment used?
The ointment should be applied to the affected area of skin once or several times a day and, if possible, lightly pressed onto the wound or gently massaged in. The duration of use depends on the success of the treatment. This is even better if cod liver oil zinc ointment is not applied too thinly.

What special features should be observed?
Since cod liver oil is a relatively perishable natural product, ointments containing cod liver oil must be stored in a cool place (2–8 °C) and protected from light. There are no waiting times for milk or edible tissue. Documentation in the inventory book is not necessary.
