The probiotic supplement Narum Caps contains 200 million CFU* Narine bacteria per capsule. Narum Caps aim to preserve the composition and biological activity of the normal intestinal microbiome in children and adults.

What is Narine?

Narine bacteria belong to the genus of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus) . Within this genus, there are many different probiotic strains that differ in their properties. Narine bacteria were discovered in 1954 when the Armenian scientist Professor Levon Akopovich Erzinkyan isolated the bacteria from the meconium (first feces) of his newborn granddaughter. Eight years later, the bacteria were patented by Professor Erzinkyan. There are now many studies and specialist articles on the unique bacteria.

Technical term: Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 strain 317/402 Narine

The Narine bacterium is also known under the technical term “ Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 strain 317/402 ”. The name “Narine” comes from the first name of the granddaughter of the discoverer, Levon Akopovich Erzinkyan.

This distinguishes Narine from other probiotic cultures

In order for a probiotic strain to develop its properties, it is particularly important that it reaches the large intestine intact. The large intestine is the main site of action for intestinal bacteria, which means that the probiotic must pass through the upper digestive organs without being damaged. The great advantage of Narine is that it is extremely resistant to stomach and bile acids and really reaches where its properties are needed.

Other important factors for assessing the quality of a probiotic are its adhesiveness and adaptability. These two factors determine whether the probiotic stays in the large intestine for a while or not. Narine bacteria are suitable for temporary colonization in the large intestine due to their extraordinary adhesive properties and adaptability . Narine stays in the intestine for about 2 weeks, while other bacteria only stay for 1-2 days.

Support your natural intestinal flora with Narum capsules

The large intestine is populated by a large number of bacteria. Studies have found up to 400 different types of bacteria and fungi there. In this part of the intestine, the intestinal bacteria compete for the binding sites on the intestinal surface and for the nutrients. Due to the good adhesive properties of Narine, the bacteria can successfully claim binding sites for themselves and thus displace others. Lactic acid bacteria such as Narine produce lactic acid and have a positive effect on the pH value of the intestine. Intestinal bacteria also produce various substances such as hydrogen peroxide or bacteriocins.

You can take Narum Caps during and after antibiotic therapy

After or during antibiotic therapy, taking a probiotic such as Narine can be recommended to support the natural intestinal flora. Narine has a high resistance to bile and stomach acid (pH=2.0) as well as to antibiotics. It should be taken with a delay of 2 hours.

Application and intake of Narum Caps

It is best to take the Narum capsules 15 to 20 minutes before a meal . The capsules are preferably taken with a glass of milk (room temperature). Alternatively, the Narum capsules can also be taken with water.

If you have difficulty swallowing, the capsules can also be opened. To do this, add the contents of the capsule(s) to the milk or water and drink it.

The dosage of Narum Caps

  • Adults and adolescents over 12 years take 2-3 capsules 3 times daily
  • Children from 6 to 12 years take 1 capsule 3 times daily
  • Children from 3 to 6 years take 1 capsule twice daily

How long should Narum Caps be taken?

Please note the storage conditions of Narum Caps

Store Narum capsules in a cool place, e.g. in the refrigerator. The temperature should not exceed + 10° C in the long term. However, during transport, Narum capsules can be stored at room temperature without any problems. The packaging technology and a special manufacturing process guarantee the viability of probiotic bacteria and their appropriate dosage during transport outside of refrigerated conditions.

Store out of reach of children.

Further information

The bacteria are cultivated using cow's milk, which is completely consumed by the bacteria during production. What may remain are traces of lactose. The manufacturer also offers the product "Narum Lactose Free" . The product differs in the production process because soybeans are used for cultivation. Soy is only used in production, but is not an ingredient.
