Unguentum Neomycini ointment 5mg/g 10 sachets
Indications
: For the local treatment of purulent skin diseases, especially those caused by staphylococci (e.g. furunculosis, staphylococcal impetigo), purulent complications of allergic skin diseases, infected minor burns and frostbite.
Active substance: Neomycini sulfas
Composition:
1 g of ointment contains 5 mg of neomycin sulfate (Neomycini sulfas). For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
Dosage
: The dose depends on the extent and location of the affected area. Cover the affected skin areas with a thin layer of ointment 2 to 4 times a day.
Do not use for longer than 7 days.
Children and adolescents:
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
Contraindications:
Do not use the medicinal product:
- in case of hypersensitivity to neomycin or any of the excipients listed in section 6.1;
- in case of hearing impairment;
- in the elderly, with renal failure, hearing diseases, hearing or balance disorders in history, due to the risk of ototoxicity;
- in children under 12 years of age, due to the risk of possible nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity;
- on large areas of damaged skin, on oozing lesions and varicose ulcers or long-term, due to the risk of nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity;
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- simultaneously with ototoxic, nephrotoxic and neurotoxic drugs.
