Sentino is a medicine containing the active substance doxylamine hydrogen succinate. Doxylamine belongs to a group of drugs with hypnotic and sedative effects. This medicinal product is intended for adults.
Composition
The active substance is doxylamine hydrogen succinate (Doxylamini hydrogenosuccinas). Each tablet contains 12.5 mg of doxylamine hydrogen succinate. Excipients: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; sodium starch glycolate (type A); colloidal anhydrous silica; magnesium stearate. Film coating (OPADRY II Complete Film Coating System 57U35237 Red): hypromellose (15 mPas); polydextrose; talc; titanium dioxide (E 171); maltodextrin; medium-chain triglycerides of fatty acids; cochineal red lake (E 124); Sunset Yellow Lake (E110); Quinoline Yellow Lake (E104).
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Adults (18 years of age and over): the recommended starting dose is 12.5 mg taken 30 minutes before bedtime. The dose can be increased to 25 mg if the initial dose does not provide sufficient relief from insomnia symptoms. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 25 mg (2 tablets) per day. This medicine should be taken orally. The tablets should be taken 30 minutes before going to bed with a sufficient amount of fluid (preferably water). Sentino can be taken with or after food. This medicine should not be administered for longer than 7 days without consulting a doctor.

Indications
: This medicine is used for the short-term, symptomatic treatment of occasional insomnia in adults, particularly in the case of: difficulty falling asleep, frequent nighttime awakenings, early morning awakenings related to stress or time zone changes.
Warnings and precautions:
Use caution and consult a doctor if you have mild to moderate liver or kidney problems, epilepsy, low potassium levels, prolonged QT interval on the ECG, heart disease, or urinary retention. Sentino may worsen symptoms of dehydration and heatstroke due to decreased sweating, especially in hot weather. Do not drink alcohol during treatment. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
