How much blood do I need for the OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip?
The OneTouch Select Plus Test Strips require at least 1.0 µL of blood.
How do I apply blood to the OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip?
- Keep your outstretched finger still and move the blood glucose meter with the test strip towards the drop of blood.
- Carefully bring the channel into contact with the edge of the blood drop.
- Wait until the confirmation window is completely filled. The blood droplet will be drawn into the narrow channel, and the confirmation window should completely fill.
How should I store my OneTouch Select Plus test strips?
- Store the test strips in a cool, dry place between 5°C and 30°C.
- Do not perform any tests if condensation has formed on your meter. Take your meter and test strips to a cool, dry place and wait until the surface of the meter is dry before testing.
- Do not open the test strip vial until you are ready to remove a test strip and perform a test. Use the test strip immediately after removing it from the vial, especially in high-humidity environments.
- Be sure to close the tube cap tightly immediately after collection to avoid contamination and damage.
- Store test strips only in the original tube.
- Do not put the used test strip back into the tube after a measurement.
- Never use a test strip that has previously been applied with blood or control solution. Test strips are intended for single use.
- Do not use bent or damaged test strips for testing.
- With clean, dry hands, you can handle the test strip anywhere. Do not bend, cut, or modify the test strip in any way.
- When opening a new test strip vial for the first time, note the discard date on the label. For information on determining the discard date, refer to the test strip package insert or the vial label.
