GAVISCON Advance Suspension, Alginic acid , stomach acid reflux
Gaviscon Advance Peppermint is an alginic acid preparation for the symptomatic treatment of discomfort caused by reflux of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus.
Gaviscon Advance is used for the symptomatic treatment of complaints caused by the reflux of acidic stomach contents (gastroesophageal reflux) such as acid indigestion, heartburn, indigestion due to reflux of stomach contents, e.g. after meals, during pregnancy or as a concomitant symptom of inflammation of the esophagus caused by the reflux of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus (reflux esophagitis).
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.
Directions:
Always take Gaviscon Advance Peppermint exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
- For adults and children 12 years and older: 5-10 ml (equivalent to 1-2 teaspoons) after meals and before bedtime.
- Use in children under 12 years: Gaviscon Advance Peppermint should only be given on medical advice.
- For elderly people: No dose adjustment is required for this age group.
Composition:
based on 5 milliliters: 100 mg potassium hydrogen carbonate, 500 mg sodium alginate
Other ingredients: Calcium carbonate, Carbomer, Fennel flavor, Methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, Sodium hydroxide, Propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, Saccharin, sodium salt, Water, purified.
