Like all defoamers from the Espumisan® family, Espumisan® Emulsion can relieve symptoms caused by too much gas in the stomach and intestines. In addition to flatulence / bloating, this also applies to gas-related babies 3-month colic. The operating principle is simple
and gentle: gas bubbles exerting painful pressure are made to burst and the annoying to excruciating symptoms can quickly subside.
Due to the gentle action of simeticon, Espumisan® Emulsion can be given with every meal (25 drops each) for gas-related 3-month colic. And that over the entire period of baby complaints. Important: Always have your pediatrician clarify whether it is "only" a 3-month colic or whether it is caused by symptoms of another, possibly more serious illness.

- The drug is a gastrointestinal agent, acts as a defoamer and is a diagnostic aid.
- It is applicable to all age groups.
- Its active ingredient simeticon disintegrates the gas bubbles embedded in the food pulp and in the mucus of the digestive tract. The gases released in the process can now be absorbed by the intestinal wall and removed by the intestinal activity.

- the day before the examination: 3 times 2 ml (corresponds to 3 times 50 drops or 3 times 1 pump stroke)
- on the morning of the day of the examination: 2 ml (corresponds to 50 drops or 1 pump stroke)

- 4 - 8 ml (2 - 4 pumps) per 1 liter of contrast paste for double contrast display

To prepare for endoscopic examinations of the upper gastrointestinal tract (gastroscopy)
- before endoscopy 4 - 8 ml (2 - 4 pumps)
- If necessary, a few milliliters of the emulsion can be passed through the instrument channel of the endoscope during the examination to remove interfering foam bubbles.

If you take more emulsion than you should
- Poisoning after use is not known.
- The active ingredient simeticon causes the foam in the gastrointestinal tract to dissolve in a purely physical way and is chemically and biologically completely ineffective. Poisoning is therefore practically impossible. Large quantities of the emulsion can also be tolerated without any problems.

- In this case, you can take the intake / application at any time.

- Please shake the bottle before use.
- The preparation is taken with or after meals, if necessary also before going to bed.
- Note: It can also be taken after operations.
- The duration of the application depends on the course of the complaints. If necessary, the preparation can be taken for a long time.
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

Using the dropper for dosing
- To drip, the bottle is held vertically downwards.
- 25 drops (equivalent to 1ml for oral use) contain 40 mg simeticon.
