Contraindications
Hepaplex® should not be used in alcoholics. Do not use in pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under 12 years.

Contains 46% alcohol by volume.
Because of the alcohol content, Hepaplex® should only be used in people with liver disease, epilepsy and people with organic brain diseases after consulting a doctor. Because of the ingredient celandine (chelidonium) and because there is insufficient documented experience with the use of the drug in children, Hepaplex® should therefore not be used in children under the age of 12. Hepaplex® should not be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to the ingredient celandine (chelidonium).

Unless otherwise prescribed, the following applies to adults and adolescents from the age of 12: In the event of a therapeutic prescription: Homeopathy is a distinctly individual therapy. The dosage is therefore individual as part of the therapeutic treatment of the patient. Please adhere to the individual dose recommendations of your therapist. In the case of self-medication / self-treatment without therapeutic support: In acute conditions, 5 drops every half to full hour, a maximum of 6 times a day, in chronic forms 1-3 times a day, 5 drops each.

Diluted with liquid (e.g. 1/2 glass of water), preferably before meals. If the symptoms improve, the frequency of application should be reduced. An application longer than one week should only be done after consultation with a homeopathically experienced therapist. If used for more than four weeks, liver function values ​​should be checked. Homeopathic medicines should not be taken for long periods of time without medical advice. After a forgotten application, the double amount should not be taken.

Like all medicines, Hepaplex® can have side effects, but these do not necessarily occur in everyone being treated. Rarely (less than 1 patient in 10,000) during treatment with celandine preparations, increases in liver function values ​​(transaminases) and bilirubin up to drug-related jaundice (drug-toxic hepatitis) have been observed. Note: When taking a homeopathic medicine, the existing symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).
