1. What are Klosterfrau Gastrobin® Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsules and how do they work?

Klosterfrau Gastrobin® Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsules are a medical device that contains Simethicone. This is a substance that only works in the gastrointestinal tract and has a so-called defoaming and thus deflating effect. The Klosterfrau Gastrobin® gastrointestinal relaxation capsules are used for the symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, a feeling of fullness and symptomatic dyspepsia.

Composition:

1 capsule contains: 250 mg Simethicone

Other ingredients: fennel oil, cumin oil, peppermint oil and star anise oil

Without: gluten, lactose, sucrose, artificial colors, gelatin

Note for diabetics:

1 capsule contains 94.9 mg carbohydrates corresponding to 1.33 kJ or 0.32 kcal (0.0046 BE).

2. What do you have to consider before taking Klosterfrau Gastrobin® Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsules?

The medical device must not be taken if you are allergic to Simethicone or any other ingredient. If you are not sure, please discuss this with your doctor before taking it.

The medical device can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as the active ingredient simethicone cannot be absorbed by the body. However, it is generally advisable to consult the doctor.

What should be considered when taking other preparations?

Interactions of Simethicon are not yet known.

3. How should you take the Klosterfrau Gastrobin® Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsules?

Due to its dosage of 250 mg Simethicone, the medical product is only intended for adults and can be taken up to a maximum dosage of 4 x 1 capsule daily before meals.

The medical device is intended for short-term use and should not be taken for more than 30 days in a row. If you need the product for a longer period of time, please consult your doctor.

4. What should you do if you have used too large amounts of Klosterfrau Gastrobin Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsules?

Simeticon has a purely physical effect and is therefore practically not absorbed by the body. However, please follow the instructions in the dosage recommendation when taking it.

5. Side Effects

Simeticon has a purely physical effect and is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, no side effects are to be expected even when taking larger amounts of Simethicone. Please keep the medical device out of the reach of children and do not use this preparation after the expiration date.

The Klosterfrau Gastrobin® Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsules should be stored dry and not above 25°C. They are available in packs of 20 capsules.

A Klosterfrau Gastrobin® Gastrointestinal Relaxation Capsule contains 250 mg Simethicone and vegetable oils.
