NO SPA 40mg x 24 tablets

• The active substance of the NO-SPA 40mg medicinal product is drotaverine hydrochloride. It is an antispasmodic drug that reduces painful spasms in the abdominal organs and pelvis minor, i.e. in the digestive tract.

Composition of NO-SPA 40mg:

Active substance: drotaverine (Drotaverini hydrochloridum). Each tablet contains 40 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride and auxiliary substances: corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, talc, povidone.

NO-SPA 40mg action:

The NO-SPA 40mg medicinal product is indicated for use in smooth muscle spasms associated with biliary tract diseases, in smooth muscle spasms and as a support in smooth muscle spasms of the digestive tract and gynecological diseases. The active substance of the drug is drotaverine. This preparation is an antispasmodic drug that reduces pain (painful spasms) in the abdominal organs and pelvis minor - in the digestive tract (stomach and intestines), biliary and urinary tracts, and in women also the reproductive tract. The action of drotaverine used in smooth muscle spasms of both nervous and muscular origin does not depend on the type of innervation and the location of smooth muscles (gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, circulatory system and bile ducts). The drug is metabolized in the liver, excreted mainly in the urine and to a lesser extent through the digestive tract.

Application:

The medicinal product NO-SPA 40mg is indicated for use in spastic conditions of smooth muscles associated with biliary tract diseases: cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, inflammation of the ampulla of Vater; in spastic conditions of smooth muscles of the urinary tract: nephrolithiasis, ureteral stones, pyelitis, cystitis, painful urinary urgency and as an adjunct: in spastic conditions of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, in spastic conditions of the gastric cardia and pylorus, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation and intestinal flatulence, pancreatitis; in gynecological conditions: painful menstruation.

Additional information:

Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect from moisture and light. Before starting to use the drug, discuss this with your doctor. Caution should be exercised when using: in people with hypotension, in children from 6 years of age, in pregnant women. Use with other drugs: this should be discussed with your doctor. Caution should be exercised when administered concomitantly with levodopa (a drug used in Parkinson's disease) due to the reduction of its antiparkinsonian effect and the intensification of tremors and stiffness. Use with food and drink: can be taken with or without meals. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult your doctor. Drotaverine crosses the placenta. Do not use the drug during labor. It is not recommended to use this drug during breastfeeding. Driving and operating machinery: in therapeutic doses, the drug administered orally does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery, however, if dizziness occurs, driving and operating machinery should be avoided. The medicine contains lactose monohydrate - 52 mg of lactose monohydrate in one tablet. The possibility of using it in people with a known intolerance to some sugars should be discussed with a doctor.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug. Do not use if the patient has severe liver, kidney and heart failure, atrioventricular block II-III degree. Do not use in children under 6 years of age.

Side effects:

Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. Rare: allergic reactions (angioedema, urticaria, rash, itching), headache and dizziness of peripheral (vestibular) origin, insomnia, palpitations, decreased blood pressure, nausea, constipation. Unknown frequency: dizziness of central origin.

Dosage of NO-SPA 40mg tablets:

Use the medicine according to the recommendations on the leaflet or as directed by your doctor. Adults: daily dose - 120-240mg, in 2-3 divided doses. Children: clinical trials have not been conducted on children. Caution should be exercised when using the medicine in children from 6 years of age. If it is necessary to use the medicine in children: daily dose for children from 6 to 12 years of age - 80mg, in 2 divided doses; daily dose for children over 12 years of age - 160mg, in 2-4 divided doses. If there is no improvement after 10 days or the patient feels worse, consult a doctor.
