NO-SPA Max 80mg x 48 tablets

• The NO-SPA Max 80mg medicinal product is an antispasmodic drug. It reduces pain in the abdominal organs and pelvis. It is indicated, among others, in spasmodic states of the smooth muscles of the urinary tract. The active substance is drotaverine hydrochloride.

Composition of NO-SPA Max 80mg:

Active substance: drotaverine hydrochloride (Drotaverini hydrochloridum). Each film-coated tablet contains 80mg drotaverine hydrochloride and excipients: tablet core: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, talc; tablet coating: Opadry II yellow 85G32207: polyvinyl alcohol, talc, quinoline yellow lake (E 104), macrogol, titanium dioxide (E 171), lecithin (soy), iron oxide yellow (E 172), iron oxide red (E 172).

Action of NO-SPA Max 80mg:

NO-SPA Max 80mg is a medicinal product with antispasmodic effect, which reduces pain (painful spasms) in the abdominal organs and pelvis minor, i.e. in the digestive tract (stomach and intestines), bile and urinary tracts, and in women also the reproductive tract. Drotaverine hydrochloride is an active substance indicated for use in smooth muscle spasm of both nervous and muscular origin, which most often manifests itself with pain in the abdominal cavity. Drotaverine has a relaxing effect regardless of the type of innervation and location of smooth muscles (gastrointestinal tract, urogenital system, circulatory system and bile ducts). The drug is metabolized in the liver, is excreted mainly in the urine and to a lesser extent through the digestive tract.

Application:

The medicinal product NO-SPA Max 80mg is indicated for use in spastic conditions of smooth muscles associated with biliary tract diseases such as cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, inflammation of the ampulla of Vater; in spastic conditions of smooth muscles of the urinary tract such as nephrolithiasis, ureteral stones, pyelitis, cystitis, painful urge to urinate; supportively in spastic conditions of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract such as gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, spastic conditions of the gastric cardia and pylorus, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation, intestinal flatulence, pancreatitis; supportively in gynecological conditions: painful menstruation.

Additional information:

Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect from moisture and light. Before starting to use the drug, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Caution should be exercised when the drug is used in people with hypotension, in pregnant women, in adolescents over 12 years of age. Use with other drugs: this should be discussed with your doctor. Caution should be exercised when administered concomitantly with levodopa (a drug used in Parkinson's disease) due to the reduction of its antiparkinsonian effect and the intensification of tremors and stiffness. Use with food and drink: can be used with food or regardless of meals. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: the possibility of use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be discussed with your doctor. It is important to know that drotaverine crosses the placenta. Do not use the drug during labor. It is not recommended to use this drug during breastfeeding. Driving and operating machinery: the drug used in therapeutic doses does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery. However, if dizziness occurs, potentially dangerous activities should be avoided - driving or operating machinery. The medicine contains lactose monohydrate – 104mg of lactose monohydrate in one tablet. If you have previously been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before using the medicine. The medicine contains quinoline yellow – 1.04mg of quinoline yellow lake (E 104) in one tablet. The medicine may cause allergic reactions. The medicine contains soy lecithin – 0.294mg of soy lecithin in one tablet. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to peanuts or soy. The medicine contains sodium – less than 1mmol (23mg) of sodium per dose, the medicine is considered "sodium-free".

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug, peanuts, soy. Do not use in case of severe liver, kidney and heart failure. Do not use in case of atrioventricular block II-III degree. Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

Side effects:

Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. Rare: allergic reactions (angioedema, urticaria, rash, itching), headache and dizziness of peripheral (vestibular) origin, insomnia, palpitations, decreased blood pressure, nausea, constipation. Unknown frequency: dizziness of central origin.

Dosage of NO-SPA Max 80mg tablets:

Use the medicine as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. Recommended dose for adults: take one tablet 2-3 times a day; the maximum daily dose is 120-240 mg. Use in adolescents over 12 years of age: use with caution, if the use of the medicine is necessary, it is recommended to use one tablet 1-2 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 160 mg. Do not use the medicine for longer than 7 days without consulting a doctor. The score line on the tablet is not intended for breaking the tablet.
