  • Specific remedy for constipation and flatulence.

  • Stir 1 to 3 measuring spoons of powder into water or juice twice a day and take about 1 hour after meals.
  • If more severe diarrhea occurs (watery, slimy with cramp-like pain), reduce the dose or discontinue the preparation for a few days, then start with a lower dose.

 

  • The duration of the application is limited to one week.

  • In isolated cases, severe diarrhea with intestinal cramps and electrolyte loss has been observed, which can be remedied by reducing the dose. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any side effects that are not known to date.

  • Interactions with other means:
    • With regard to impaired absorption, an interval of 1 - 2 hours should generally be observed between taking this preparation and the following drugs:
      • Iron, Tetracyclines, Sodium Fluoride, Isoniazid, Chlorpromazine and Digoxin.
      • As with other laxatives, prolonged use can lead to increased losses of water, potassium, and other salts.
      • This can lead to cardiac disorders and muscle weakness.
      • Therefore the duration of the application is limited to one week.

Contraindications

  • Do not use with impaired kidney function, intestinal perforation or intestinal obstruction (ileus), severe diarrhea and cardiac arrhythmias (AV block).
  • Do not use during pregnancy.
  • Do not use in known hypersensitivity to magnesium peroxide.
  • For adults only. Do not use in children and adolescents.
