For heartburn and acid regurgitation
Heartburn is a common condition of the upper digestive tract. Every 10th adult in Germany is regularly affected by the burning pain behind the breastbone, which is often accompanied by acid reflux. The symptoms usually appear about an hour after eating or when going to bed. Heartburn and acid regurgitation are often triggered by the consumption of fatty, spicy foods and excessive consumption of alcohol and cigarettes. Changing your diet can help alleviate the symptoms. For relief from heartburn and acid reflux, Pantoprazole HEXAL ®20 mg worry. The well-tolerated active ingredient can reliably reduce the production of excess gastric acid and thus stop the painful burning sensation, even overnight.
PANTOPRAZOLE HEXAL for heartburn gastric juice tablets Lasting effect
Heartburn is caused by the reflux of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus. The rising gastric acid irritates the sensitive lining of the esophagus and causes burning pain. The more acidic the contents of the stomach, the greater the irritation. The well-tolerated active ingredient pantoprazole, which has been tried and tested for heartburn, is one of the so-called proton pump inhibitors. It blocks the acid pump in the stomach and thus reduces the production of acidic gastric juice that irritates the esophagus. In this way, the symptoms can be reliably and permanently alleviated with just one dose a day.
PANTOPRAZOLE HEXAL for heartburn gastric juice tablets APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION:
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults take 1 tablet a day whole with plenty of liquid. The enteric-coated tablet should not be chewed or broken. It may be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to relieve symptoms. If possible, always take Pantoprazole HEXAL at the same time before a meal. If you are completely free of symptoms, the treatment can be ended. If the symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of continuous use, please consult a doctor.
UNBALANCED NUTRITION
The stomach often reacts sensitively to greasy food, large portions or heavy meals in the evening and produces too much stomach acid, which can rise up into the esophagus and cause heartburn. A change in eating habits can help to alleviate the symptoms in the long term.
EVERYDAY STRESS
People who are very busy at work and at home and have to travel a lot often suffer from heartburn with acid reflux. The symptoms are often triggered by eating too hastily and high-fat food. The consumption of caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes also causes acid in the stomach.
TO TRAVEL
Unfamiliar, spicy foods and an irregular eating rhythm can put a lot of strain on the stomach and intestines on holiday and result in digestive problems or heartburn. Effective medicines for reliable symptom relief should therefore not be missing from any first-aid kit.
PANTOPRAZOLE HEXAL for heartburn gastric juice tablets FREQUENTLY QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
Why not break pantoprazole tablets?
In order to ensure the desired effect, Pantoprazole HEXAL ®20 mg should always be taken whole and not chewed. Due to the dosage form as enteric-coated tablets, the active ingredient is only released in the intestine and absorbed into the blood there. It then reaches the stomach via the bloodstream and unfolds its active mode of action by inhibiting the proton pump and thus preventing the production of acidic gastric juice.
What Foods Can Cause Heartburn?
Heartburn is mainly promoted by the consumption of fatty and fried foods, spicy foods, acidic foods such as citrus fruits and fruit juices, chocolate and mint, among others.
If you often suffer from heartburn, a food diary can provide information about which foods your stomach is sensitive to.
Why do I often get heartburn at night?
Heartburn is caused by stomach acid rising up into the esophagus, where the acidic gastric juice irritates the sensitive mucous membrane. When lying down - as well as when bending over - the pressure on the stomach increases and thus aggravates the symptoms. You should therefore not eat anything at least three hours before going to bed. In addition, it is advisable to eat as light a meal and small portions as possible in the evening. Sleeping with your head elevated can help if you suffer from nighttime heartburn.
