Composition BIATAIN silicone dressing of the product

Biatain® Silicone is a soft and conformable polyurethane foam dressing with a semi-permeable, bacteria- and water-repellent outer film, a storage layer and a soft silicone coating.

Use BIATAIN silicone dressing

Biatain® Silicone can be used on a wide range of exuding chronic wounds, particularly leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers, uninfected diabetic foot syndrome, split skin donor sites, postoperative wounds and traumatic wounds (e.g. skin abrasions, tears or cuts in the skin). The dressing can be used in combination with compression therapy and can be left in place for up to seven days.

BIATAIN silicone dressing Major Benefits

True conformability ensures intimate contact with the wound bed to reduce exudate build-up and provide optimal healing conditions.

Microcapillaries absorb exudate vertically, creating optimal healing conditions with 77% more fluid holding capacity for longer wear time.

Binds exudate and 99.98% of bacteria even under compression, reducing the accumulation of exudate and therefore the risk of maceration and infection.
