Active ingredient: azelastine hydrochloride.

Indications: Treatment and prevention of symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children over 4 years of age. Treatment and prevention of symptoms of non-seasonal allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children over 12 years of age.

AZELA-Vision sine, eye drops single dose indication

  • The medicine contains azelastine, a medicine from the group of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines work by protecting against the effects of substances such as histamine, which the body produces during an allergic reaction. Azelastine has also been shown to be effective in relieving eye inflammation.
  • The medicine is used in adults and children over 4 years of age to treat and prevent eye problems caused by hay fever (seasonal allergic conjunctivitis).
  • The preparation is used in adults and children over 12 years of age for the treatment and prevention of eye problems due to allergies to e.g. B. house dust mites or dog and cat hair (perennial allergic conjunctivitis).
  • If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 2 days, contact your doctor.

dosage

  • Always use the medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Eye problems caused by hay fever (seasonal allergic conjunctivitis):
    • The usual dose for adults and children over 4 years of age is one drop in each eye morning and evening.
    • If contact with pollen is expected, the medicine can be used preventively before leaving the house.
  • Eye problems caused by allergies e.g. B. against house dust or dog and cat hair (perennial allergic conjunctivitis):
    • The usual dose for adults and children 12 years and older is one drop in each eye morning and evening.
  • Application in children
    • The safety and effectiveness of the drug in children under 4 years of age have not been established.
  • You must not use the medicine for longer than 6 weeks.
  • The medicine is only for use in the eye.
  • If the symptoms are severe, your doctor may increase the dose to one drop in each eye up to four times a day.

 

  • If you use more than you should
    • It is unlikely that there will be any problems if you put too much in your eyes. If you are concerned, contact your doctor.
    • If you accidentally swallow the medicine, see a doctor as soon as possible.

 

  • If you forgot the application
    • Apply the eye drops as soon as you remember. Then apply the next dose at the usual time.
    • Do not apply double the amount if you have forgotten previous application.

 

  • If you cancel the application
    • If you stop using it, you must expect your symptoms to return.

 

  • If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Eye drops for use on the eye.
  • Make sure the tip of the bottle does not touch the eye or the area around the eye. Bacterial contamination and subsequent eye infection can result, which can lead to serious eye damage and even loss of vision. To avoid possible contamination of the bottle, be careful not to touch the tip of the bottle to any surface.
