What are BioEars®?
BioEars are earplugs made of soft, malleable silicone that reliably protect the ears from noise, wind and water. The special feature: In contrast to all conventional silicone or wax earplugs, BioEars contain an antimicrobial additive. This inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold on the earplugs. BioEars therefore remain pleasantly clean and hygienic even after repeated use. This reduces the risk of an ear infection from dirty earplugs.

How does BioEars® work?
The soft, waterproof silicone earplugs are kneaded briefly, then rolled into a ball, fitted into the ear opening and gently pressed. They provide reliable protection against noise, wind and the ingress of water. The antimicrobial additive ACTIValoe® also inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold on the earplugs, thereby reducing the risk of ear infections.

For everyone who wants to protect their ears from environmental influences in a particularly hygienic way.

Noise:
Constant noise (e.g. from music, traffic or even a snoring bedfellow) puts a lasting strain on the ear, as the sensitive auditory cells in the inner ear are damaged. This can result in hearing loss or ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Noise also disrupts concentration and has been shown to increase the risk of heart disease.

Water:
Moisture in the ear canal (e.g. after swimming, diving, etc.) promotes the growth of bacteria. They can easily penetrate through the softened skin and cause a painful inflammation of the ear canal (the so-called bathing otitis) .

Wind:
Cold wind or drafts can cause pain and, in the worst case, inflammation in sensitive ears.
