HYLO NIGHT ® was specially developed for night-time protection of the surface of the eyedeveloped. The soft and supple eye ointment spreads well on the irritated surface of the eye and with the ingredient vitamin A it relieves the feeling of burning, dry and tired eyes. HYLO NIGHT ® is free from preservatives and is therefore very well tolerated. The economical eye ointment can be kept for 6 months after opening the tube. HYLO NIGHT ® is suitable as a nightly supplement to HYLO ® eye drops for all stages of dry eyes
Soft eye ointment with vitamin A
Vitamin A is an essential active ingredient for our body. B. is important for the regulation of growth or the protection of the mucous membranes. But it is also considered a so-called “eye vitamin”. Step 1
Tilt your head back slightly, pull the lower eyelid slightly back from your eye with the finger of one hand.
step 2
With the other hand, hold the tube in an upright position over the eye. Insert a small strand of ointment into the conjunctival sac by gently squeezing the tube.
Step 3
Slowly close your eyelids. Excess ointment can be removed with a compress or cloth.
NOTE: When using eye ointments, direct contact of the tip of the tube with the eye and facial skin should be avoided. Only one person should be treated with the contents of a tube to prevent possible transmission of germs and pathogens.

How often should HYLO NIGHT ® eye ointment be applied?
HYLO NIGHT®improves the tear film and protects the surface of the eye. Apply the eye ointment individually according to your needs or the recommendations of your ophthalmologist. HYLO NIGHT ® is suitable for all stages of dry eyes as a supplement to moisturizing eye drops such as HYLO COMOD ® or HYLO GEL ® , by placing an approximately 0.5 cm long line of ointment in the conjunctival sac of each eye in the evening before going to bed. In the case of a pronounced feeling of dryness in the eyes and severe symptoms, the ointment can also be used during the day. Do not apply HYLO NIGHT ® to the eye at the same time as other medicines. Should that be necessary, HYLO NIGHT ®should be given approximately 30 minutes after other eye medicines have been used. Is visual impairment to be expected
when using HYLO NIGHT ® ?
HYLO NIGHT ® eye ointment forms a long-lasting protective film on the eye. Due to the fatty consistency, there may be a slight impairment of vision, which is why the use of the medical device is recommended, especially overnight. If you also want to use HYLO NIGHT ® during the day, you should not drive a car or otherwise actively participate in road traffic, operate machines or carry out work without a secure footing.
Can HYLO NIGHT ® be used with contact lenses?
No, HYLO NIGHT ® eye ointment must not be used while wearing contact lenses. As a contact lens wearer, you can alternatively choose from various eye drops from the HYLO ® range for intensive moistening of the eye, depending on the severity of the dry eye symptoms.
Does the eye have to be covered after using HYLO NIGHT ® ?
No, that is not necessary. The only exception is incomplete eyelid closure (lagophthalmos). In this case, in consultation with the attending ophthalmologist, a so-called watch glass bandage may be advisable overnight. The transparent patch creates a moist chamber that prevents the eye from drying out.
