Our recommended serving is 1 to 2 heaping tablespoons every day, morning or night (or both). For a quick boost, mix superfood baobab powder into a glass of water or juice. It can also be stirred into yogurt and oatmeal, sprinkled on fruit or salads, and added to baked goods, soups, and desserts.

two to four teaspoons

For optimum results, we recommend taking two to four teaspoons of Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder per day. It is easy to add Baobab into your daily diet - just let your imagination lead the way!

It has long been used for libido for both sexes and used in ancient fertility rituals. Baobab is more recognised for its high antioxidant levels, but it is revered in Africa for its fertility giving properties.

Can I use baobab powder on my face?

"Because Baobab is packed with vitamins B, C, and Omega 3s, when used for the face, it can help with dry, aging, and dull skin," says Husain. "The oil form can help soothe eczema and dandruff as well, because it is moisturizing, but it does not replace medications for the conditions."

Baobab oil is generally known for its regenerative abilities. It is excellent for softening skin and helping heal any imperfections due to its antioxidants, ample amounts of vitamin A, B, and C, along with omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. It also contains magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

The vitamin C content of this powder helps to increase the production of collagen and elastin in your skin, the proteins that help to keep your skin supple and wrinkle-free.

Does baobab give you energy?

Baobab powder is a rich source of vitamin C, which contributes to normal: Energy release. Immune function. Healthy, glowing skin.

The high omega-3 fatty acid in baobab oil is also good for your hair. When used as a hair mask or a leave-in conditioner, baobab oil may help moisturize dry hair and strengthen weak, brittle hair. Baobab fruit and oil aren't high in protein. The oil may not repair damaged hair like other protein-rich hair products can.

Our highlight from Africa: the baobab

The fruits of the baobab tree - as the African baobab is called in Germany - have it all: In Africa, the baobab fruit has been an important food since primeval times. In the meantime, it has developed from the African steppe into the superfood of the western world.

Popular superfood

The pulp serves as a basis for the production of fruit juices, sweets, sauces or porridge. Africans also refer to the baobab tree as the "apothecary tree". Baobab is one of the most popular superfoods and rightly so.

"Upside down tree" - the concentrated power from the tropics of Africa

Incidentally, the name "Baobab" comes from the Arabic: "Bu hibab" means 'fruit with many seeds'. The tree is also visually special: the trunk is noticeably thick, while the branches are almost inconspicuous. In Germany it is therefore often called the "upside down tree". Because it looks as if it had been stuck upside down in the ground.

The baobab is extremely resilient. It can survive very long periods of drought because it has a kind of water reserve. The strong trunk stores water and then calls it up when there is no more water from outside - perfectly adapted to the tropical regions of Africa.

The fruits of the baobab tree are reminiscent of the cocoa fruit. They are oval and grow up to 40 cm long. When the fruits are ripe, the seeds become dry and dusty. As a result, they can be stored for up to a year without their properties and ingredients changing. The fruit does not have to be dried or processed, but can be removed directly as a dry, flour-like powder.

Tip: Sour is fun: Baobab powder has a special taste: fruity-tart, slightly sweet, but mostly sour. Since it is easily soluble in water, it is ideal for shakes. It can also be easily dissolved in yoghurt, milk or juices. This goes well with sweet fruits. For refining cakes or pastries - the baobab powder can be used in many ways.
