Birch sugar (or xylitol = xylitol) is a sugar substitute that is comparable in appearance, taste and sweetness to normal household sugar. It owes its name to its discovery in the nutrient-rich fibers of birch bark. It is now made from GMO-free corn. In contrast to household sugar, however, birch sugar has around 40% fewer calories.

Birch sugar occurs naturally in many fruits, berries and vegetables. Birch sugar is suitable for baking (except yeast dough), cooking and sweetening drinks.

Gluten and lactose free.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Excessive consumption (from 30 g xylitol per portion or from 50 g per day) can have a laxative effect. Store in a cool, dry place and tightly closed. Fill level is technical. Raab Vitalfood uses only the best raw materials and checks all products for residues and the advertised nutrient content.
