CURCUMA 200 mg capsules

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is a plant from South Asia that belongs to the ginger family (Zingiberaceae).

Other synonyms are yellow ginger, saffron, turmeric or yellowroot. It is a plant up to a meter tall, with heavily branched yellow or orange rhizomes, which are often used as a spice.
Because of its coloring power, the rhizome is also used as an additive to curry powder. Curcumin, a component of turmeric, is the flavor carrier. It is used as a food additive, for example to color food. As a natural antioxidant, it also prevents food spoilage caused by microorganisms. In addition to curcumin, it contains, among other things, diarylpentane, diarylheptane, polysaccharides and essential oil, which, consisting of 60% sesquiterpenes, accounts for the characteristic smell. Turmeric has been used in India for 4000 years; the plant is considered sacred. In traditional Indian healing arts, it is said to have a cleansing and energizing effect.

Curcuma 200 mg GPH Capsules contain 243 mg curcuminoids from standardized Curcuma longa root extract in a hard gelatine capsule. Turmeric can help with pressure and pain in the upper abdomen, a feeling of fullness or flatulence caused by impaired fat burning. The curcuminoids (including curcumin) stimulate the production of bile, which can improve fat digestion after increased release. The spice's essential oils nutritionally soothe the stomach and intestines.
Turmeric is also said to have antioxidant properties. In the human body, curcumin serves to neutralize aggressive oxygen molecules. It can inhibit the synthesis of the inflammation-causing prostaglandins, so that turmeric capsules are suitable as a dietary supplement for swelling or morning stiffness of the joints and are also said to improve walking ability.
