Choline is a fat-like substance, which can be produced to a small extent in the human organism itself. Choline is converted in the body into acetylcholine, which is important for signal transmission in the nervous system as well as in the muscles and brain. Choline was previously known as vitamin B4 because it has a similar biochemical structure to the B vitamins. Myo
-inositol is a stereoisomer of inositol and is often also referred to as vitamin B8. Inositol is a natural sugar alcohol that occurs in phospholipids of the cell membrane, in plasma lipoproteins and in the cell nucleus. Inositol is also found in both animal and plant foods.
P-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) is also known as para-aminobenzoic acid or vitamin B10. PABA is an organic carboxylic acid and precursor or building block of folic acid. Together with pantothenic acid, it forms the basis of inositol synthesis.
B vitamins such as thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 play an important role in energy production in cells. In addition, the B vitamins serve as precursors for coenzymes and are thus involved in all metabolic processes. The B vitamins such as riboflavin and folic acid as well as vitamin B12 also play a key role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and maintaining the immune system.
