Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC), also known as polyphenols, are secondary plant substances and belong to the group of flavonoids. They are found in leaves and bark, for example, and have the important task of protecting the plant from UV radiation and strong light.
The polyphenols obtained from grape seeds are particularly noteworthy. They help protect cells from oxidative stress. OPC grape seed extract is rich in valuable polyphenols.
