Nucleotides are the building blocks of DNA and RNA and are involved in almost all cellular activities. While DNA contains the genetic information, i.e., the complete blueprint for the construction and function of the entire organism, RNA serves, among other things, as a transmitter of this information. Both have the central task of controlling the structural, metabolic, and energetic functions of cells. The body can produce nucleotides itself and also absorb them through food. They are found in high concentrations in breast milk, animal offal, and to a lesser extent in legumes. The growth and maintenance of all bodily functions require constant cell renewal and cell division. Cells with a high cell division rate have an increased consumption of nucleotides, such as blood, nerve, and immune cells, as well as cells in the small intestinal wall, which demonstrates their essential importance for the immune system.
In addition to the four nucleotides, MITOcare's nucleotide powder contains a yeast extract (RNA) rich in ribonucleic acid, as well as 1000 mg of inositol per daily dose. The zinc contained in the product also plays a role in cell division and DNA synthesis. 1,2 At the same time, it has a positive influence on lipid metabolism 5 , cognitive function, 6 as well as on skin, hair, and bones. 4

Recommended intake:
Stir 1g (equivalent to 1 scoop) into 100-200ml of lukewarm water or herbal tea twice daily and consume – ideally at least 15 minutes before a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from light.

NUCLEOTIDE benefits:
Nucleotides, the building blocks of DNA and RNA, offer several potential health benefits, including supporting immune function, promoting gut health, and aiding in tissue repair. They are also involved in energy transfer and can be conditionally essential nutrients during periods of rapid growth or stress.
Here's a more detailed look at the benefits:
Immune System Support:
Nucleotides are crucial for the development and function of immune cells. They can enhance immune responses, particularly in infants and during times of illness or stress.
Gut Health:
Nucleotides play a vital role in maintaining the health and integrity of the gastrointestinal tract. Supplementation has been shown to improve gut microflora, reduce diarrhea, and potentially aid in the repair of intestinal damage.
Tissue Repair and Growth:
Nucleotides are essential for cell growth, differentiation, and repair, particularly in tissues with rapid turnover like the gut and immune system. They can aid in recovery from injury and support overall tissue regeneration.
Energy Metabolism:
Nucleotides are involved in energy transfer within cells and play a role in various metabolic processes.
Conditional Essentiality:
While the body can synthesize nucleotides, certain situations like rapid growth, illness, or stress may increase the need for dietary nucleotides, making them conditionally essential.
Potential Benefits for Infants:
Infant formula often includes nucleotide supplementation, as it can improve gut health, reduce diarrhea, and potentially enhance immune function in babies.
Reduced Cortisol Levels:
Nucleotide supplementation may help reduce cortisol levels, potentially beneficial for managing stress.
Improved Exercise Performance and Recovery:
Emerging data suggests that nucleotides may have a positive impact on exercise performance and recovery.
