dosing SODIUM HYDROGEN CARBONATE instructions
Continuous drip up to a maximum of 25 drops/minute (= maximum 1 ampoule in 16 minutes) and 100 ml/day (equivalent to 5 ampoules) taking into account the acid-base balance. Sodium bicarbonate solution 8.4% can be infused undiluted or diluted.

Note
Paravenous application can result in necrosis. Acid-base balance and serum ionogram controls are required. Beware of hypokalemia. If the dose is exceeded, there is a risk of hypocalcaemic tetany.

SODIUM HYDROGEN CARBONATE properties
A so-called latent acidosis often contributes to a regulatory blockade, i.e. a metabolic imbalance that is still being compensated for, but is already present and effective. Due to the high regulatory, pain-therapeutic and anti-inflammatory potency, base infusion therapy can be used for a large number of clinical pictures.
