  • The Inuprin Forte 1g medicinal product contains as much as 1000 mg of inosine pranobex in one tablet. It is an antiviral drug for use, among others, as a support in the case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections in people with reduced immunity.

Inuprin Forte 1g composition:

Active substance: inosine pranobex (Inosinum pranobexum) (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyldimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1:3). One tablet contains 1000 mg of inosine pranobex and auxiliary substances: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, polyvinylpyrrolidone K90, magnesium stearate.

Action Inuprin Forte 1g:

An antiviral drug with inosine pranobex, which also has properties that stimulate the immune system. Each tablet contains as much as 1000 mg of the active substance. The medicinal product Inuprin Forte 1g is indicated for use in the treatment of herpes of the lips and facial skin in people who have been infected with the herpes simplex virus in the past. The drug is administered as a support to people with reduced immunity in the case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.

Application:
Inuprin Forte 1g is indicated for the treatment of cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus – only in people who have been diagnosed with a herpes simplex virus infection in the past. The drug is used as a support in people with reduced immunity in the case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect from moisture and light. Consult your doctor or pharmacist in the following cases: you have had gout attacks or increased levels of uric acid in the serum or urine (the drug may cause a temporary increase in uric acid levels in the serum and urine), you have had kidney stones in the past, kidney function disorders (your doctor must carefully monitor you), the treatment lasts 3 months or longer (you must have regular blood tests and monitor your kidney and liver function; kidney stones may form during long-term treatment), you have observed symptoms of an allergic reaction - rash, itching, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue - stop treatment immediately and contact your doctor. Use in children and adolescents: do not use under 1 year of age. Use with other medicines: you must tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using other medicines, especially medicines such as: medicines used to treat gout (allopurinol or other medicines); medicines that increase the excretion of uric acid, including diuretics, e.g. furosemide, torasemide, ethacrynic acid, hydrochlorothiazide, chlorthalidone, indapamide; medicines that suppress the immune system; medicines used to treat AIDS (azidothymidine). Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: the medicine should not be used unless your doctor, after assessing whether the benefits of using the medicine outweigh the possible risks, determines otherwise. Driving and operating machinery: the medicine may impair your ability to drive and operate machinery, if you experience headache, dizziness, drowsiness, do not drive, operate machinery, or perform other activities that require concentration. The medicine contains sodium - less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium in 4 tablets, so it can be considered "sodium-free".

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug. Do not use if you are currently experiencing a gout attack or tests have shown increased levels of uric acid in the blood.

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking this medicine. Like any other medicine, this medicine can cause an allergic reaction, although severe reactions are very rare. You should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as: sudden wheezing, difficulty breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips; rash or itching (especially if they affect your whole body). Very common: increased uric acid levels in the blood, increased uric acid levels in the urine. Common: increased liver enzymes, increased blood urea nitrogen levels, nausea with or without vomiting, discomfort in the upper abdomen, itching, skin rash (as the only symptom), headaches, dizziness, tiredness or feeling unwell, joint pain. Uncommon: diarrhea, constipation, nervousness, drowsiness or difficulty falling asleep (insomnia), increased urine volume (polyuria). Not known: angioedema (serious allergic reaction that causes swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat that may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing), allergic reaction, hives, anaphylactic reaction (sudden, life-threatening allergic reaction affecting the whole body); dizziness, redness of the skin (erythema); upper abdominal pain.

Dosage of Inuprin Forte 1g tablets:

Use as directed by your doctor or as indicated in the leaflet. The recommended dose is based on your body weight. The daily dose should be divided into equal single doses taken several times a day. Adults, elderly: the recommended daily dose is 50 mg/kg of body weight per day, the usual daily dose is 3 tablets (3 g) per day - 1 tablet 3 times a day. Maximum daily dose - 4 tablets (4 g) per day - 1 tablet 4 times a day. Children over 1 year of age: the recommended dose is 50 mg/kg of body weight per day, given in several divided doses. In children who are unable to swallow, it is recommended to use the medicine in syrup. Administer orally. Wash down the tablet with an appropriate amount of fluid - preferably water. The tablet can be crushed and dissolved in a small amount of fluid. Duration of treatment: 5-14 days. Treatment is continued for another 1-2 days after the symptoms have subsided. If there is no improvement or your condition worsens after 5-14 days of treatment, contact your doctor.
